I just received a copy version of PhotoShop 7.1, but it doesn't seem to be working. So i was wondering if their is a copyright restriction on it to prevent it from being copied. Or maybe some other reason that is not allowing it to work properly.

right, my computer is about 3 years old. never updated anything. so it's probably does not meet the requirements for PhotoShop7.1, maybe some older versions.but it does cost a lot to buy, so i'm trying to go around that.

I couldn't find Adobe PhotoShop 7.0 on the official Adobe website... don't know if they make it anymore. PhotoShop Creative Suite (CS), which is what I'm using now, completely replaced the PhotoShop 7 series.

Now, that's a good buy. Paint Shop Pro 7, which is the other digital imaging software that I use, goes for $99. Of course, they're two completely different types of image editing software, but both are very good.

PhotoShop tends to be the software most used by webmasters nowadays and digital artists. Paint Shop Pro 7 is geared more towards custom graphics. It's a vector-lover's program basically. I've found it useful.

Just pay $100, you get the software with a high probability of zero installation problems, and it's legal. :P

90% possibility the prog works if you buy/network-shared it legally.

besides, pirated and/or dl-ed
have lots of poblem (despite it's cheap price)
a. the Crack exe sometimes screwed.
b. missing libraries
c. if dl-ed... have to scan for spy-ware lots... and lots of times.
d. unable to register, which make u loose the chances getting :
- update tutorial
- newsletter (trust me,.. this actually good sometimes)
- current competition


nyeh,.. 80% programs i use on my workstation at home are pirated, but not on the office. so feel free to ignore me

tutorials you can get off the web, you can get damn near any thing off the web, i even once got detailed instructions on how to replace a delorian rear end, so:

pirated software = Good
Bought software = Better

the thing about the stuff you pay for is that it is almost definately the right version, sometimes when you pirate stuff you get buggy beta versions and such.
