As I'm continuing to tie up the loose ends for when I go on deployment, the one thing that's slowing me down the most is playing cleanup for all of the in-fighting. Many of us are guilty of it in some way. Before you open fire on someone, think about the effect it has on the club as a whole. If you REALLY can't get along with someone, try not talking to/around them. The channel ops learned that little trick early. Otherwise the ban list would be much larger.
I really don't wan to pull out the CoC on people, but I'm going to have to start doing that to keep the peace if things don't stop. If you look in my job description, you'll see that the different forms of communications are my territory. That basically makes me the ComNet/IRC Cop. Please don't make me do my job. When I have to step in and step on someone, it makes me job less fun. I prefer the other side of my job.. the storyline.
Also, those that think my deployment will be a good time to go nuts are in for a surprise. You'll just notice different people deleting and editing your posts or handing out kick/bans. There are others to pick up where I leave off.
Let's all try to have fun, yeah? That's the whole idea of the club after all.
