OOC: This time for HSC, when I started writing it: it ended up being very long. The first part of the story has no real significance other than to give you a little background information on what's going on now. This part of the story is now yours to read. As for the main story, that'll be revealed inthe near future. In the meantime, Rema has also provided us with a plot summary of last HSC, so you have both fully available to you. ENJOY and please read, we both worked VERY hard on this.

The Vast Empire forces got word of a new Rebel Weapon being built called "Savior". This "Savoir" was found to be on Azloc III, and the schematics were being held in a rebel frigate. Not wanting to risk the weapon being built, the VE decided to find out what this super weapon was. The Army Command and the CO's/XO's of the VEA suited up and attacked a Rebel Frigate only to find that the schematics were useless. They kept the frigate in order to infiltrate the facilities on AlzocIII, which was the only piece of useful information that they received. After going back to the Dominion to regroup, the Dominion, carrying the VEA forces, departed for Azloc. Ahead of the main VE forces, Wraith and Jester Squad took the captured ship and landed at the base on Azloc. Shortly after Raiders Squad, Dark Dragoons, and Drill squad landed on the planet and headed towards the base. Inside the base Jester was already heading toward "Savior". Wraith squad was causing havoc in the base drawing attention away from Jester. The Raiders and Dark Dragoons blasted toward the enemy base in an attempt to draw out the enemy forces. Raider's squad meanwhile entered the Rebel base and joined Wraith squad in distracting rebel forces from Jester Squad. Jester Squad had learned that "Savoir" was actually a rebel general, and was in league with Commander Shantsa, a rather large officer who could kill someone by simply sitting on them. They quickly captured them and headed for the nearest exit. VEA forces planted explosives in the rebel base and escaped the base as it blew apart. When all Imperial forces were evacuated the interrogation of Savior and Shantsa took place. To this day they still are imprisoned.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

It was a rather unpleasant day for Major Rizzit Blackheart; he had spent his entire day doing nothing more than reminiscing over the events that had occurred over the past year. There weren't many happy thoughts he could think of that happened in the past year; but a major wound that stuck out like a thorn in his side was AlzocIII. It had been nearly a year since they had played into the Republic's hands with the whole Savior business. No matter how he focused his thoughts, or where he went: they always returned to AlzocIII. Finally, realizing it was no use: Rizzit stopped his wandering of the corridors and returned to find Sergeant Major Raziel waiting for him in their office. Raziel greeted his superior, and they both had a seat at their respective desks. Noticing the disturbed look on Rizzit's face, Raziel asked Rizzit what was bothering him.

"Oh, its nothing." Rizzit said with a sigh. "I was just thinking about AlzocIII again."

"That's been on your mind a lot lately, any reason why?" Raziel asked. "It doesn't do to dwell on the past."

"Yeah, but it worries me. It's been almost a year, nothing's been even attempted to rescue the two captives. It's almost like I can sense it: any day now they're going to try something. They set a trap for us and we fell right into it! That's when you go and crush someone, not let them sit for a year"

"We pulled out though, we captured Shantsa and Savior." Raziel reminded him. "We also made it back alive. While I agree that is odd, maybe they figured we learned from the experience and wouldn't fall for something like that again. Sometimes, I think you worry too much for your own good."

"Maybe, but I guess that's one more thing I have to work on. In the meantime, I'm headed over to the Prison Cell, and make sure the two of them are there."

Raziel nodded to Rizzit and followed his as he walked out of the room. More than likely guessing that he should stick with his commander in case there was a problem, he followed Rizzit down to the lower levels where the exit was. Parked outside, was Raziel's landspeeder which they drove to get to the prison a good distance from their office. At first glance, the prison looked like a sort of control bunker: small and battered-down; but once inside you realize that it descends below the ground. The two strolled through the low-security section of the prison and listened to the prisoners begging to be freed as they passed (most of these were recently captured prisoners). Finally at the end of what seemed to be an endless stretch, they came to the turbolift and got onboard. A sense of foreboding washed over Raziel as the lift slowly descended through a mile of rock. He was used to cramped quarters and small tunnels, but the idea of being trapped made his hairs stand on end. He was hoping Rizzit had planned on a short visit. The turbo lift juddered to a halt and the large glass doors silently slid open. Raziel tried not to look up as they entered the prison's medium security level. They had gotten off the turbo lift, and headed down the stretch of prison cells. Most of the cells had contained rotted skeleton bones; a few live ones were left. The two officers walked down to the very end. A prison guard was there in front of what seemed to be a blast door. This was the start of the High-Security Prison Cells. The guard saw the pair and inquired what they needed in such a foul place, even though he already knew: they were here to see the fat guy and Vic'tahr Buschelle a.k.a. "Savior". After receiving the word from Rizzit on who they were here to see, the guard pressed a few buttons on the console; which caused the doors to hiss as they opened. After passing through security, Shantsa's cell was the third cell door on the right-hand side. On first sight, both Rizzit and Raziel could tell the fat guy was losing weight. Prison life was taking a toll on Shantsa, he must've lost half his weight during the time he'd spent in prison. Shantsa was also heavily drugged so he couldn't resist any interrogations given by the army staff (or so was its purpose). He had in fact been so heavily drugged that one would think he was drunk. Since they had brought him back from AlzocIII and threw him in here: they hadn't been able to extract any information as to what other forces were out there, all they could retrieve was mindless babble. Today Rizzit thought might be the day; he simply stared down Shantsa and gave him the usual greeting.

"So Shantsa: you going to tell me anything worthwhile today?" Rizzit had asked.

"Uhhhhh...Oh yes sir, I have a lot of lovely stories to tell you. There's this nice one about this gungan and an ewok--"

"I don't want to hear it!" Rizzit interrupted. "I want to know what kind of military bases and systems that your group has."

"Bases Sir? Group Sir? I'm just a simple storyteller, I don't have any bases."

"You are Commander Shantsa of the New Republic. We captured you and imprisoned you here!"

"That doesn't sound very nice sir, but I assure you that you're mistaken. Are you sure you don't want to hear the story about the gun--"

"Save it fatso, or should I say slim jim? Time here is really taking a toll on you, I think we need to find other accommodations for you."

"That would be nice. Maybe a room with an ocean view, and some gourmet food would be nice. Not that the food here isn't good, it just gets excessive after a while."

Rizzit, obviously angered by his visit with Shantsa stormed out of the high security section of the prison. He saw to reason to question Vic'tahr Buschelle, seeing as he was probably in as sad a shape as the old man was. Raziel of course left with Rizzit, seeing as there was clearly no point in continuing this conversation. When they reached the opposite end of the security doors, the two officers had a chat with the cell guard. Basically, it was a question of does he ever babble off anything useful; or was it mainly just stupid, worthless information. The guard informed them that nothing important was ever said. He occasionally asked for a pet ewok, but that was the most important thing that he ever said. Just as they were about to leave, Rizzit instructed the guard to fit them each with some sort of tracking device that they wouldn't be aware of in case there was a problem. He wasn't about to abandon the idea of something happening, but things seemed pretty quiet at the minute. The guard agreed and told Rizzit that he'd actually give them some good food and slip the transmitter in the food: with the both of them being drugged up as they were, they would probably think it was desert. This worked, because the transmitters that Rizzit was referring to were very small, yet quite powerful. He still suspected them to try something, so this was just another precaution to ease his mind. Rizzit sighed as he nodded in agreement, and then signaled Raziel to follow him to the turbo lift. On the way up, Raziel felt overwhelmed with relief as they were going back above ground. Finally, the turbolift had come to a halt; then Raziel had bolted down the corridor, and back into the fresh air where they came from. Rizzit had followed him, but walked in more of a stroll then a run. When he arrived at the landspeeder, Rizzit sat down next to Raziel and simply shook his head.

"I don't even want to know what that was about."

Raziel chuckled, then gave Rizzit a grin. "I just don't like being underground. Anyways, so what do you think we should do about them?"

"I know of a good facility on Nariss C that can most definitely get the information out of them that we need. They're doing us no good to be kept here. Plus, security is better over there. The problem is getting them there. I need to talk with Fury on this, so until then there isn't much we can do about it. I'm actually headed there now to resolve this. Care to come?"

"Sure boss. Let's go."

"Great, but first lets head back to our office. I need to get some things, just in case."

Raziel nodded and drove the two of them back to their office. Rizzit said he'd only be a minute and instructed Raziel to wait in the speeder. Rizzit picked up his comlink and imagecaster and was on his way. His droid was trying to tell him something important, but Rizzit couldn't be bothered: he had something more pressing to attend to. Finally, after much argument with the droid, he was able to get back to the speeder.

Raziel was getting quite anxious in the speeder; he looked even more tense than he was underground.  Rizzit walked up to the speeder and stuffed the equipment in his pocket.

"Don't tell me you're afraid of being outside too?" Rizzit said with a laugh.

"No, I'm just impatient. You ready now?"

"Yeah, the stupid secretary we have wouldn't leave me alone."

After hopping in a landspeeder, they had to drive a good distance to Fury and Peacemaker's office. Their office was very close to the prison, and therefore was farther away than the platoon commanders' office. After what seemed to be an hour, they had finally arrived. Their office was very similar to Rizzit and Raziel's, except for the fact that it was bigger--much bigger. It could often be doubled as a briefing room for the squad leaders of the army it was so large. The droid sitting at the desk greeted the two platoon officials and asked them to state their business. Seeing as this droid needed everything to be perfect, Rizzit needed to state his name, purpose, urgency of the matter, and how he can be contacted. Every time Rizzit needed to see Fury on something, he needed to do this: which is why his visits to Fury were far and few between.

Hearing Rizzit angrily talking to the droid at the desk, Fury rushed out of the office knowing who was outside.

"You two: Get in here! We have some matters to discuss!"
