Chapter 7 - Revenge It is not required but it is preferable that you read the VEDJ stories "Team 1" and "Team 2" before posting on these stories.  Deeper discription of planets and settings are told within those stories. = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = Lotaith - Just before the arrival of Team 1 = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = Once team 3 returned to Lotaith, the helmet was quickly confiscated, and studied by intelligence officers.  They were quick to find that what the Dark Jedi discovered was an understatement to the truth.  In fact, the killing of the head terrorist, Alchamir on the planet Flax had only aroused the opposition even more.  Apparently, Alchamir had more ties then originally thought.  His alliances reached far greater then previously imagined, stretching throughout the inner systems, all the way to Courscant.  The Code “Tores Nores,” was carefully looked at by various intelligence agencies within the Vast Empire, including the Dark Jedi.  According to the information provided, new fleets were arriving in the Ord Mantell system daily, and thousands in numbers, massing for an attack on the Vast Empire as either part of a concerted second wave or for independent operation as revenge for their own leader’s deaths.  The numbers of starfighters of the fleet that team 1 has reported is unknown.    The High Council met the following day.  For hours, they sat in an endless debate on how to proceed next.  Athran and PJ clearly showed their opinion of attacking the bases and spaceports massing troops was preferable to waiting for more enemies to arrive.  Kadann agreed to a point; however, he felt a greater danger coming from somewhere else, within their own systems perhaps.  Anakin walked into the room, late from various meetings with the Intelligence groups who also had new word from the Dark Jedi still in the Flax system.  He stood before everyone and gave the High Council his briefing.  “The time for our action is now…  If we do not stop the, their numbers will exceed ours three to one by the end of the month.  Our intelligences have confirmed that the intended target is indeed the home planet of Lotaith, and to our surrounding systems.”  Anakin paused as he switches on a hologram in the center of the table, it was the system that Alchamir was stationed on.  The hologram outlined sections of the system as he spoke.  “They have numerous spaceports surrounding the planets at these locations.  Once we have control of the spaceports we should be able to stop all incoming fleets from getting into the system.”  The hologram flickered as it changed over to the Ord Mantell system.  “There are scattered based all over these planets.  We will concentrate first on the planet that we have already been on.  The army will need to drop in close to where the loading point for the Dark Jedi were when they landed on the planet from there we will take each base one by one.  And with the help of some naval runs, after they have secured the Flax system, we shouldn’t have a problem.”  Anakin looked over to Kadann.  “I assume the Dark Jedi will be sent back to their command stations within the Army and Navy?” Kadann replied, “Yes, since most of us have important positions within our divisions, I think it is best that we help them as much as possible.” Anakin nods, “The Dark Jedi will then have full control.  They have been here before and know their way around.  We start our runs immediately.  Division leaders,” Anakin looks over to Athran and PJ.  “I want the Navy departed immediately, we still have some of our men out there, make sure they make it back ok.  Then make your attacks on the enemy fleet.  The sooner we take the outposts the less we have to deal with.  The Army will take its support ships to the system of Ord Mantell.  Spare no expenses, bring everything and anything that you think will help you in your attacks.”  The hologram flickered into nothing and Anakin motioned to the guards at the door.  “This meeting is adjourned.”  Anakin said as the High Council stood, saluted and walked out the door followed by their respective guards. Coda:  Just a few notes, those Jedi on Team 1 that are in the Navy can join into their positions once they catch up with you.  Jedi that have positions in the Army will more then likely be shuttled to where the armies locations will be in the Ord Mantell system, so make sure you post like that to get yourselves into it where your supposed to be.  High Council and Division Commanders are Welcome to participate in any ground attacks, due to the vastness of this campaign.
