Anyway, here are my two cents about some of this.
New Squadrons in the Navy
Requirements:
1) Members
2) Capable Leader
3) Members
4) Members
We don't quite have enough active members to open up the next squadron, though we're getting really really close. If we can get about 2 or 3 more active we'll probably go ahead and open it up.
The Fleet
The fleet has been in its present form for quite some time and no one ever said anything before. I see no reason why it should be drastically decreased short of a naval attack that actually destroys members of it.

Let's try to stay on topic.
The HC values all your concerns and/or opinions. The more ideas you all bring up, the better story line we'll be able to come up with. Keep in mind, it takes time to incorporate ideas into a story. Things can't just change like the flip of a switch.
As Talon has said, we'll be losing some capital ships during the chapters. Bear in mind that this probably won't happen over night or in a single post.
As for the ESSD. That shouldn't be an issue as it is grounded and unable to do anything anyways. Only thing that works on it right now is the weapons systems so it can somewhat act as a command post.
I see quite a few good ideas in here. A lot of which we've discussed in HC threads. But seeing them here as well makes the ideas stand out as they would be things members would get excited about. Keep the ideas coming. We're looking for ideas for more than just the next few chapters. -----------------------

I always thought we should open a division for intellegence gathering, i think that would create some intersting stories if we had a small spy network going. -----------------------

I'm gonna hafta throw my lot in against having an intelligence division. I've never seen a club have one and it not end badly somehow. Plus I never trust them, the division or its members. -----------------------

Heth was being nice.
Intel means power hungry morons too untalented to earn rank through actually doing something. Instead they make up crap and create trouble where none need exist These people corrupt a club from the inside and turn away the decent, productive members we actually need.
In short, if an intel group gets started, you can form a line behind me for the frelling door. If we start walking down that road again, this club won't be worth being a member of.

I think both you and Heth misinterrpreted LW's idea. Either that or I misinterrpreted it.
I think what he meant was that we would be creating a subdivision for story use only. We would all keep our army/navy jobs, but at times we would be sent on missions through intel for our story. Sort of like ARC only as intelligence, not fast reaction and special operations.
I completely agree, we don't need an "actual" intel agency which spies on people in VE and out. I disagree completely with that. I think what LW meant was creating some kind of unit for the story only.
If you didn't mean that LW...then well Fury and Heth I think are right :P -----------------------

That is what i meant art, i honestly havent seen or heard of any other intellegence groups. but from what Fury and Heth are describing it isn't exactly nice. What i meant before would be for stories, a division (or whatever u wanan call it) simliar to arc. -----------------------

I think we've got enough specialized groups to handle intel gathering in a story. I really don't want to get anyone's head telling them that they're intel and should perform intel crap behind everyone's back. It only takes one person to ruin a lot. For now we've got ARC, whichever squad is Spec Ops these days, and the DJO to cover that. I also like to use NPCs for information gathering. -----------------------
