(Now, from certain things or events for that matter that I have entered into the VEN stories or my stories, I thought I'd bring some light into my story. Also, I'll be pulling up another story that I had going long ago. That will be soon, aside from that I'll be writing on the Navy story, and the up coming spider hunt story that Flying Knight has so kindly accepted me into.)
Shazam had always told people he was from various places... But he didn't actually know where he was from. He had never known where he was born, and for most of his life he lived in various areas. So, the man hadn't a real sense of "home." But it didn't really bother him. He didn't know his brother, or if for that matter he had more siblings, but his mind had already been set into one type of mode. I just don't care mode, that is. He'd lived all his life with only the assistance of his uncle and his father, his only known reletives that is. It was a rare occasion that his uncle Hermese would be in the same room with his father Icos, they had a growing fear of the galaxy around them. They had the right though, especially since Icos had seen his mother die at the hands of hooligans. Shazam had no pity for those who hurt him or family members. But otherwise, he was a pretty cool guy, well, he thought so anyways.
His father and his uncle were mysterious men, they always traveled away from eachother on seperate routes, never intending to be in one place for two long. Shazam, had learned to respect this way of life though, his uncle being one of the only men he had ever known as both a good man and a smuggler. Most other smugglers he had ever encountered were dirty sleezy slobs that were only in it for the money. Hermes was in it for the game, he enjoyed the sense of doing something against the law... That's why he would pick the most vile gangsters to deal with and try to make them his buddies. Interestingly enough, he succeded most the time, but every once in a great while he would run across an angry hutt or a rodian with itchy trigger fingers... But never the less, he had been happy in his dangerous game.
Shazam's father was a careful, precautios fellow that often times like to explore things out of nowhere. Icos would be walking down a street, reach a corner, something would flicker in his mind, and he would have the sudden erge to investigate. He always told Shazam that he had a good look in his mind's eye. What that meant, Shazam had never known until he was about nine-teen years old.
Shazam was still well into his growing stage, not afraid to take offhand chances do to his constant mentoring from both father and uncle. However, he wasn't stupid, he didn't like to go walking into some bar, knowing he was going to lose an upcoming fight... It wasn't quite his thing, unless he had a plan of course. That was always a likely thing with him.
Still growing some chest hair, Shazam was deep into smuggling. He had already flown dozens of solo missions and several other assisted missions. His uncle taught him the trade routes, his father taught him how to fly old school style. So in a sence, he got the best of both worlds for the longest times. One other thing that Shazam never seemed to take notice of, is the fact that his father called his own brother a friend. Never said that he and Uncle Hermese were related. And neither did his uncle. It wasn't weird though, and maybe that's what kept the whole relationship so well, the fact that they could stay professional at all times. They didn't even talk about their childhood.
It had been a warm evening when Shazam had landed on Corelia. He had been much to lazy to check out his surrounding area to make sure the landing area was safe. But this was corelia... What could happen, they had Corsec for god's sake. Did he feel safe? No... But oh well, he'd been in worse circumstances... He didn't see the type of problem awaiting him in the shadows of corelias' deepest shadows... ----------------------- *Flash Was Here...*

The landing ramp declined slowly, Shazam sucked in the cool night air; his first night on Corillia in two and a half years would not be wasted, he thought to himself. He walked off the platform, the darkness gripped him with a cold sensation that never ment good news... He felt something in the air, but he couldn't see it.
Should he sprint back inside to the safety of his ship, the thought slipped in. He no longer trusted the misty black air. The only illumination of the platform was coming from his overhead lift lights. Gold radiated from the lamp and cast Shazam's shadow infront of him. There were no other shadows, so where was this thing? Or things, the thought made him shiver slightly.
Realizing he was standind there like a total imbosal, he started walking towards the door of the shipyard. Suddenly, beams of light streaked across his clothing, and a voice started commanding him to do something... But there was almost a buzz in his ear. The lights were now blinding him. He would have sworn he heard a voice say,"Get down" or something along those lines, but he wasn't hearing anything at that point.
Then he knew no more, Shazam fell to his knee's for a moment, and then dropped the rest of his body towards the cold steel beneath him. Corsec men surrounded him and lifted him into a transport.
Shazam awoke in a dark cell with a heater on the wall, completely imbedded into the wall... This was a jail cell, he told himself. Otherwise they would have just let that heater stick out... But now I can't even touch it. Basterds... He was in Corsec prison... Basterds...
They couldn't have been there for the cargo, I wasn't carrying anything, was I? Shazam's mind was still a blur, he tried to stand but lost his footing and was sent crashing to the floor. That shock was still in his leg, he thought. Basterds, he thought one last time.
Suddenly, the door flew open and a man with a single blaster walked in, not really afraid of Shazam at this point due to his leg. "Get up... Follow me..." He beckoned... ----------------------- *Flash Was Here...*

Shazam felt an intense discomfort, being commanded around by some man he didn't know. What made him even more uneasy was the fact he didn't know exactly where he was or how much time had passed since the night of his apparent 'capture'. As he staggered along, following the man clad in blue corsec uniform, his mind began to drift.
Ever since he was young, his mind could never hold onto one subject, not like ADD or anything, instead, it was like his brain was always multitasking. Thinking about three things at once rather than one thing. But his thoughts floated in and out of eachother so much, that it would seem as if he couldn't pay attention.
When he had attended school, he'd have his head on the desk and his eyes halfway shut, but his mind was completely focused on the teacher. Later on, when they'd have conferences, his teacher would tell Icos that Shazam never paid any attention and he couldn't stay awake in class... Of course, its not like it mattered, he could never stay in one school for very long, a couple of months at the most. Enough time in those intervals to get his fundamentals though, but most of the time, he taught himself... They had a few text books that he had studied quite in depth. At first, everything would seem hard, but after he began to understand it, he could do it perfectly. Step by step, is how everything worked his father had told him.
Besides going from school to school though, Shazam had picked something up along his many journeys. Every man needs something he can be identified with, his Uncle had said. He pointed out his neclaces to him; there were always about 15 chains just hanging there... So, on that same day, Hermes took him around Coruscant to find something that he could be identified with... A hobby.
They spent about an hour and a half looking at various bracelets and rings, and then about two hours looking at good luck charms... Soon after they left that shop, they were walking along a skywalk that ran up next to a bank. At the end of the skywalk there was a guy selling beverages, so Hermes decided to get him something to drink and they'd stop for a little while... While they were sitting there, drinking 'java' Shazam noticed a shop across the street. There was some kind of stringed instrument hanging in the window, he remembered. He quickly ushered his uncle into the shop and started looking around at everything there was to look at... 'A guitar' is what they had called it. Shazam picked one up and slung the strap around his neck and across his back... He strummed the srings with his hand, not sounding like anything, he decided to pluck individual strings instead.
The man at the front desk saw my apparent enthusiasm for the instrument and taught Shazam his first chord. 'G" became his favorite thing. It was so whole, strong, and vibrant in his sound. When we had to leave the shop and get back to the ship, Hermese saw the boys disapointment. Later that night, Hermese came into his room with an oblong box, no more than four inches thick. Shazam quickly ripped the box open to find a dark case. He unbuckled the sides and opened the case to find a dark blue electric sitting in the case. It was beautiful. From that day on, Shazam was always found playing the guitar, using his limited resorces he learned his first couple of songs. Later on, Shazam had a guitar teacher that he admired beyond all others...
Before Shazam could continue to think about his days with his guitar, his eyes drifted back to where he was.... The man in the blue was opening a white door, the sound of buttons beeping brought him back to the reality that he was in a confined area. He could not escape at this point he thought... Shazam glanced around for weapons, and noticed the man in the blue was holding some kind of shock weapon in his left hand. His thumb was over the button...
The door slid open, and a man sat at the table with his eyes fastened on him... ----------------------- *Flash Was Here...*
