okay, I know the AWOL has been over for quite some time, but I'd like to be placed in reserves. I haven't been doing much and I'm pretty much dead weight in the squad. I will return one day, but as it stands I don't know how soon it will be, for all I know I could return next week... but with school and college right on the horizon I can't juggle RL, VE, school, and everything at once.

Have you confirmed your spec past Jeg? Either he or I have to give you the relevant needed paperwork before you start. Just makes things neater.

The Academy is somewhat separate from the Army Chain of Command. One of the questions we ask Cadets is what spec they would like.
Some of them choose one right off the bat, others wait till they are in a squad and can learn more about them. Guys, this is the hardest thing I've ever had to do in the VE, therefore I'll keep it short.
Wraith have always been a strong squad, and I pride myself on always being able to keep up with it. We went through some of the hardest times I've ever seen together, and right now we stand on the verge of what I deem our return to form. We have many new strong, bright faces that I see becoming highly respected in the future.
Unfortunately, I find myself unable to keep up this time. I find the drive that worked me through the ranks and positions of Wraith no longer with me, to the point where posting in the story is a burden I really cant handle. This isn't fair on you guys, that show so much potential.
It is for this reason, I am resigning as Squad Leader of Wraith. I will remain officially in the position until myself and Jegora decide on a suitable replacement, you wont be left without a captain. I will handle all administrative roles of the SL position, but from this point on control of the Wraith story falls entirely to my ASL Anival.
I am not leaving the VE, I emphasise this point. I will still around, and still be available if any of you guys need me. You might even see me here again some day, one of you might even be my boss.
Look forward to that :

It's done. My office is empty, anything that belonged to me has been packed into little boxes and tossed out the door. I'm gone.
...Luckily they didn't stay in those boxes for long, as I immediately unpacked everything again on one of those crappy beds you regular troopers get. I'm no longer your SL, but one of you, a regular trooper.

For those of you who did not hear my speech on IRC:
As mentioned before me by other people, am your new Squad Leader, Senior Sergeant Ron. I will be replacing Kanderin as Squad Leader, who will step down gracefully as SL and will continue on with Wraith as a trooper. Congratulations to him for his promotion to Academy Staff.
Now more about me; this is the second squad that I have been Squad Leader of, the first squad being the very successful Raiders squad of which I take credit for turning it around from the bad situation it was in. Ask StarFruit or Havock if you don't believe me. I intend to use the same style and strategies in this squad that I used in Raiders, which includes weekly reports and squadwiki character development charts. To some of you this may seem like I am trying to turn Wraith into a second Raiders squad, and to that I say I am not: I am trying to build this squad as best I can, using the methods that I find work the to our greatest advantage.
We will be starting a story in the next few days. Until now, admire the new banner I am making for you all. (Look in the Sig)
