Until SW Galaxies comes out, there is going to be an extra recruitment bonus for any member who recruits someone that passes basic training and is placed in a regular squad. A recruiter that finds a new recruit that fits these qualifications will be awarded 50K IC's for each recruit. Not to mention the already in place recruit pay bonuses.
With the recruitment pay bonus, each member you recruit, you get a bonus percentage of your recruit's current pay added on to your monthly pay. If you get a lot of recruits and most of them get officer ranks, you'll be pulling in, potentially, a lot of money. This is why it helps to follow up with your recruits.
