A Vast Empire Role Playing Game (VE RPG) has been scheduled for this Sunday (10/7/2001) at 8:00 pm EST in #verpg (irc.holonet.org).
Everyone (even those that have not signed up for the VE RPG) is welcome to play. We will be using the old school West End Games [WEG] system (d6) instead of the new WotC (d20) system, as we (Spartacus and I) are still working on ironing out some things w/ the Wizards of the Coast [WotC] system.

I unfortunately can't make it to the RPG on Sunday due to Thanksgiving weekend up here in Canada...is there anything I'll need for later, since I plan to attend most if not all the following ones? -----------------------

Not to my knowledge, no. This game will be rather independent of our future Wizards of the Coast SW RP games.
If there is something you will need later on which is connected with this game (i.e. a character sheet, miscellaneous information, etc.), Game Master Sesswanna will undoubtedly email it to you.

The only information I am capable of providing at the moment is located in the following RPG ComNet thread:

Aside from that, I am pretty much at my wit's end concerning how to describe the game further. You have to see it in action to truly understand. Hopefully, by this Monday, a decent log will be available of what a VE RP game looks like.
In under two weeks time, the VE RPG website should be operational. It will contain an in-depth section which will have several chapters for viewers to read excerpted from Wizards of the Coast's Star Wars RPG book explaining what the game is all about.
