We need to develope a more informative, more useful acadamy page. The current one is here So here's where you can help. What kind of things are useful for new members to know? What kind of things did you wish you had known about when you joined the Navy? What kind of things should we post on there to make members more likely to go on IRC or use other chat programs? Each suggestion that is used will be worth 5,000 IC's. FM Threeof4

All of the information on the staff and the NHC needs to be updated. The NHC still listed as Riel, Japheth, Say, and JMac. Even worse, the choices that are brought up when a trainee wants to e-mail someone are Commander Darkhawk, Captain Bear, and other such people. Anyone who is no longer a part of the staff needs to be removed from anywhere their name appears, and there need to be corrections to ranks that are outdated. It would also help if there was a link to the manual, but right now our manual is in pretty bad shape ... so maybe that's not a good idea. The third thing I noticed on a quick glance was that there are quite a few grammar mistakes or things that are just wrong ... such as some of the information preceding the Exams and Tests. But I could go into detail in that better in a precise e-mail to whoever is going to be doing the changes to the site ... no use to waste space here. If I think of anything else, I'll let you know. Updating obsolete facts is the most important thing right now so that newbies know who to contact and who is in charge around here.

I think there should be something on there about hte next step for their training, which is basically the VEBAT. We maigt want to cahnge that so newbies know what the next step is, like make a section called "The next step" or something. Also, all the emails and scripts need to be changed so that they mail to someone. Call me crazy, but I don't think JMac is gonna be grading any quizzes, nor liquid. Also the text needs to be updated, cause it says flightschool, when there is no more flight school. I suggest you wait until you've reached your decision about the OTHER thing. (You know, about the squadron and training) That's all I can think of right now. I'll let you know though

Even though I know I am no longer in the navy I have at least one idea for you. 1) Why doesnt the VENA site incl;ude the manual link that is on the main naval site. I finally discovered it about 4 or so days into training after biffing the =A=. It would help recruits a lot.
