Yeah, same concept for this mission as for the one on Ord Durall.  Basic info here plus any questions you may have.  Starting off with: Planet Name: Eriadu Type: Terrestrial Temperature: Cool Atmosphere: Type 1 – Breathable (recommended Type II – Breath Mask suggested due to pollution levels) Hydrosphere: Moist Gravity: Standard Terrain: Urban Length of day: 21 standard hours Length of year: 410 standard days Sentient races: Humans Starport: Imperial class, Stellar class, Standard class (2) Population: 5,150,000,000 Planet Function: Industrial/Commercial Government: Competing States Tech Level: Hyperspace Major exports: Starships, manufactured goods, shellwork jewelry Major imports: Foodstuffs, raw materials Capsule:  Eriadu, a polluted factory planet in the Sesswenna sector, is a trading and governmental hub in the Outer Rim. Eriadu was the capitol world of Grand Moff Tarkin's territory, established as Tarkin's base of operations when he was placed in charge of the Outer Rim Territories. Tarkin ruled from the Governor's Palace on the planet's surface. Since the Battle of Endor and the decline of the Empire, Eriadu has toyed with the concept of membership in the New Republic or outright independence.  Given its location, continuing membership in the Empire is not a viable option.  Each faction has its logical agendas. Republic-leaning parties note the need for external support in terms of food, medical, and environmental cleanup requirements due to the mostly urban landscape and the ecological damage of the recent heavy industrial period of Eriadu.  Independence advocates promote the nationalization of the planet’s shipbuilding facilities to provide the economic means to provide those resources. Currently both sides have both their successes and failures.  Two of the three orbiting shipyards are currently nationalized as the owners have relocated to Remnant territories.  Other facilities, mostly ground-based, have been shut down and a resurgence of low impact industry and agricultural enterprises have emerged in their place.  As most of the owners and workers of the prior industries were Imperial appointments, the economic distress has been less than expected.  However, with the Galactic Civil War winding down in this sector, capital starship sales have been less than anticipated. Republicans won a majority vote in the last elections and forced through a resolution of intent to join the New Republic.  While this has resulted in many immediate benefits to the citizens of Eriadu, the manner in which the measure was passed has angered a significant portion of the population.  The various independent and Imperial loyalist groups have now found common cause.  This has resulted in an on-going low intensity civil war which few local elements have the resources or motivation to stop. Plus a little location map to give you a sense of what is in the Sesswenna sector (where Eriadu is) and its environs:

Notes from the Commander's Comnet I wanted to pass along: Kiption: I know i asked this before, but i forgot the answer... approximately how much of the planet is in each factions hands? or are they just fighting over the capital city? Is Krass a wanted man?  I.e. death threats/bounty hunters after him...? Oh yea.  If i need something to come down and rain fire and brimstone down on some people, i.e. I desperately need something to cover an exit, what are the chances of me getting support from the VE? Fury: Actually, you guys aren't supposed to be there at all.  Your ship will be the Scythe which will be dutifully scrambled with whatever transponder code you need.  So technically, you are not an official VE mission. As for Kraas, we know nothing about any warrants, but there is likely to be a local bounty on him just as a formality.  Basically, who knows what he did when the Empire ruled the sector.  There could - at least - be some pissed off relatives of a political prisoner. As for who controls what...consider most of the planet neutral, frankly.  To most, the economy is in the toilet after the Empire left so they are more worried about getting fed and staying that way than with debating politics.  Only in the major governmental and commercial/industrial centers is anything in contention.  Like Eriadu City for example. Basically, consider the situation kinda like Northern Ireland.  One group is nominally in charge, but only of where it can place troops.  Another group disputes that claim, but is only in authority where it can place troops.  The rest of the place just wants to stay alive and out of the conflict zone. As for getting out in a hurry... The Scythe does have a complement of fighters and is a fairly quick vessel considering you'll only be up against territorial patrol craft.  It's use as an orbital bombing platform is about nil however. Any other questions?
