hey wouldn't it be a good idea to put up a map of the SW galaxy and point out where all our planets are? i think it may help some people envision more about our storys and such. and at least be interesting. -----------------------

One problem with this.
The conventionally accepted maps from the NJO series (and adapted by Wizards of the Coast for the RPG) do not work well with what our Controlled Systems say.
According to whatever design/intoxicant the author of those was working under, our system is waaaaaaaay on the other side of the galaxy from the rest of the Imperial Remnant. This means we are truly on our own, or we really need to alter that information.
Taking that into account however, I modified an existing map of the galaxy and threw in our four systems, putting them in the "northwest" quadrant near Ssi-ruuk space and the Tapani Sector.

There is also a map.pdf extension for those who are interested.
Give me some ideas on the location, and as to whether anyone might want to move our controlled system history around. -----------------------

well it's good, but isn't the Vast Empire controlled sapce near the meridian sector? and also it doesn't match what Lucasarts put out with Rebellion. Coruscant should be in the Swessana Sector near the Core. Just a few things wrong. WEll, maybe I'm stupid and don't know what I'm talking about? who knows? -----------------------

Well, since the RPG is what is considered more researched and not so tongue-in-cheek (seriously, I liked the Sandman, but does Neil Gaiman REALLY need his own planetary system?) that is what I'm going by myself. Besides, I only modified someone else's map.
Plus, if you'll read our Controlled Systems stuff, you'll see that we were put near Ssi-ruuvi space for some reason. I don't like it any more than you do, but that's what our information tells us.
So, it doesn't mean you, or anyone else for that matter, is wrong. It's just an interpretation of the currently accepted data. -----------------------

it makes sense because the maps currently illistrated do not have and imperial view of it all. i guess you may technically be able to imply the unkown regions as a "bridge" especially with light comfirmation with the NJO stuff. just a thought. -----------------------

Well, it only took me a day to realize that I had put in the system names instead of the planet names. Have corrected that. Might take a couple of the lesser used planets out in the next revision.
This actually is a pretty good spot in the map to be in as it was essentially empty.
In any case, for those who care - come on, just try - there is another version up. -----------------------

Well I was just saying we were close to the Meridian sector from reading a Planet of Twilight. It had the names of some of our planets I believe near the Meridian Sector, so I just assumed we were there. Anywho, I guess I wasn't totally correct. -----------------------

For all you EH spies/egoists/freakshows who are doubting the veracity of this map, consider the following:
The base data is composed from the NJO series published by Del Rey. This map has also been taken into use by Wizards of the Coast for its D20 line of Star Wars RPG products.
The map itself was taken from SWRPGNETWORK.COM's Holonet forums.
I merely added the information previously provided by our past members Sesswanna and Spartacus, though I may have interpreted somethings incorrectly.
If you doubt the map: fine, so do I in some places and many of the members that have posted here and spoken elsewhere. But it IS a working tool.
However, if you have a problem with my work, take it up with me. Do NOT hide behind some official facade of being a good sport. I have taken this reckless condescension from you once before Katarn. Research and listen before you speak, and when you DO have a problem (which seems an inevitable conclusion with you) take it up with the source.
