I, as well, am quite upset about this. Some of you might remember how upset I was when this kind of stuff started going on with Merrick.
I have logs of certain things, and would have no trouble getting ones in the future, so watch your step.
I won't say anything further as long as nothing else like this happens. And I don't just mean Andraste, I mean any member - male or female.
And, please, will the freaking ops pay attention to what's going on in the main channel and DO something when people are out of line?

One, I concur with the assessment of the situation and am willing to try to ensure it doesn't happen again.
Two, I was there for one of Bronx's idiotic moments and did warn him about it. At that time he did stop.
If no ops are immediately in the channel, feel free to PM, ping or whatever whoever is idle and as far as I myself am concerned, PM me a log of the offensive situation.
As for those who can't stop being little hormones: If you can't stop yourself from harrassing women who visit our channels, get off-line, go to your local mall, try it in RL, and get the beating you so rightfully deserve. We don't need that type of attitude running around our channels.

He's lucky I wasn't there.. Anyway, Darkhawk, God forbid any of the ops be working on something such as a web page or a storyline for YOU. Or even *gasps* doing something offline? And then there's the times the peons get so annoying I have to ignore the channel for my own sanity. Don't expect us to be babysitting 24/7. I agree with Tal. We're how old now? Teenagers most of us. This means we should start acting like adults, not preschoolers. Now, there is a difference between just joking and harassing. I mostly stick to the side channels to avoid all the **** **** that goes on in the channel. "Think before you leap" next time okay? -----------------------

Talon, I know that it is unreasonable to expect someone to be watching the main channel all of the time. But, if there is no one to enforce the rules when they are broken, why do we have ops? For that matter, why do we have a CoC on IRC? You see, we all walk a thin line here. Things like this are all part of a vicious cycle, and there is always more than one person to blame. -----------------------

The CoC is mainly looked at as being an IRC thing, but it's a ComNet advisory as well!

Actually, Cos, this is a public issue. Praise in public and punish in private...... Sometimes. Something such as this needs to be brought to light because people need to know that it won't be tollerated. Some of the people that are booing and hissing at Bronx have done it themselves in the very same channel. Maybe not the exact same act, but the same effect and flavor. I know that certain issues should be announced publicly, and I'm fine with that, as long as the person who is stating can retain some tact while posting. Bringing up certain issues are good for all VE members to view and talk about, but attacking someone in the process just shouldn't be done, and that's what I'm trying to mainly point out here.
