Elite Squadron Competition I. What it consists of A.    First and foremost, this is a friendly competition between the squadrons.  We are one Empire fighting the Rebellion and the Imperial Factions that have fallen away from the Imperial Code. B.    The competition will have two parts:  a story writing and a multi-player gaming competition.  a.    The story-writing part of the competition will entail each squadron writing a squadron specific story.  They will be in the simulators and given certain goals to achieve in a set time limit.  Should the story be rushed, it will be deleted and the Squadron will be forced to start over again.  Once a goal is achieved, I will look in my black book of goals and assign a new one.  There will be no tampering with other squadrons writing.  In fact, if you are not a part of a squadron, you are not to post on that squadron’s story at all.  This goes for NHC as well as regular pilots. b.    The Multi-Player competition will be X-Wing Alliance and X-Wing versus TIE Fighter games only.  It will be a 1v1 game in a five minute time period.  Imperial craft only is permitted in the competition, and the two opponents are to fly the same craft.  No TIE Defenders vs. TIE Fighters.  Both members are to e-mail me and my XO with the results of the match, and should the scores not match, both parties will be consulted, and if a concensus can’t be reached, the match will be thrown out.  No intra-squadron play is allowed.  You must play someone in another squadron.  And they must be in a squadron. II. Rewards A.    The most important reward of course being the title of eliteness for the winning squadron.  B.    To the winning squadron, they will also have the right of being the Captain’s Own of the Atrus for one year.  C.    All members of the winning squadron will be rewarded 100K I.C.s, plus a one rank promotion except in the case of officers.  D.    The Squadron Commander of the Winning Squadron will receive a promotion one rank higher than the current. E.            Members will receive medals based on their activity and performance in the competition. III. Scoring A.    Each story post must consist of 200 words or more, or they will be thrown out.  Each post is worth 1 point to the squadron’s total score B.    The games that meet the above standards will be worth 2 points to the winner and 1 point to the loser. C.    A weekly post will appear on the Navy Main Comnet informing the pilots of the current standings.  Competition begins August 1st and will last the entire month until August 31st.  Should there be a tie in the scoring, we will have a 3 day “Tie breaker” in which the winning squadron will be decided.  We will be attempting to get a website up before teh competition so you all will know exactly what is going on at any time.    ----------------------- Rear Admiral Riel Fury Navy Commander In Chief Krath Priest, Dark Lord of the Krath, Cult Member in Elite Griffen Sect Give in to your hatred.  Give in to your anger.  Give in to the Dark Side.

On Quality: this goes for both graphics and story posts.  If it appears that it's thrown together in one minute and no real effort is given to it, it will be thrown out.  It will be up to my discretions what is thrown out and what isn't.

Bumping thsi to the top and clarifying something... You are not expected to necessarily complete all the goals, all five goals were posted to make sure that you had something to write about for the entire ESC.  Also, these are in simulators, so pilots can die without permanant repercussions, jsut write about being either a) out of the sim or b)writing about what's in the sim without being in the sim themselves
