"I'm heading out for a drink, boys..."  Bennett Ennix slipped a slim smoke into the edge of his mouth and puffed a few before breathing out the black byproduct.  After two years at Lotco Base on the edge of the Garret Ocean, Ennix sighs and hangs his head, scratching at it absent mindedly.  It has been even longer, four years, since he said he would take up the cause of his native land, Engi, in the fight for control of Truscan.  Engi is a nation-continent and is the most populous entity fighting for total power of Truscan and, eventually the Beesi Sector.  And then...  The galaxy.

It's an eventuality, he says to himself as he exits the underground base, out through a dark , narrow stairway.  It's just a matter of when...  A passing thought sticks in his mind.  When it's all over, the kids, Meri and I will live the rest of our days on the ocean...  It's going to be paradise...

Although Miri forces have established dominance in the north, the Engi nation is ready and prepared for any conflict that might come our way...  Terri Boho smirks a little.

What drivel...  She closes the holo-net article.  Sitting at the base of operations holo display, she wonders what the powers that be really think about the Miri forces.  Scanners have quickly lost pace with the advances in cloak technology now utilized by the Miri forces.  And although Engi is the most populous and well armed  military force in all the planet, it is hardly a killing stroke. 

The Ranooi guns sported on many of the carriers are also not a laughing matter.  While Engi forces use Incar technology also, the Miri forces have (for the time) gained the upper hand in utilizing and deploying said technology. 

Boho tries to be humble as she reminds herself of all the hours she has spent studying Miri technology and tactics.  Though she tries to deny it to herself, she is confident in her ability to out-think the miri forces. 

Whether they will actually attack the Engi continent is uncertain: the Miri, as well as the forces that attempted to repel them in the north, incurred unreal losses.  Though the momentum is in the Miri favor, one wonders what personnel are even left to wage further warfare at this point.  It has been suggested that the Engi should attack the Miri homeland while forces are depleted, but scant intelligence has left master tacticians nervous about possible oversights in Miri defense.  While the Engi have heard of the Ranooi guns, it is a real possibility that more powerful and advanced weaponry awaits them on the main-land.
