They are undercover NR troopers, so you probably wouldn't know that and I think Jamasis has the right idea being ambiguous. There are some civilians though but not many, and these guys aren't just grunts they are an infiltration unit that took out 25 of our Army guys already and lived among the locals for who knows how long. Infrared does not go through big rocks etc. However people tend to warmup their asurroundings if they still for long and then the things around them also radiate infrared. So in reading up on the story as far as I can tell (and correct me if I'm wrong):
Blackjack: Scouting, found a group of survivors and just walked into a trap. Currently pinned down in a basement or sublevel of one of the buildings.
Raiders: Interrogated poor fellow and have now located and disabled one canister of the virus, Mox's team is heading towards the final two canisters to disable them.
We have Chapter 9 starting very soon, so I'd like to wrap this up. I will post the last part of this by tomorrow so if you'd like to get a final post in on the objective please do so. Also we will be having an AWOL check before the start of Chapter 9 so keep an eye out for that topic and make sure you post if you are here.
