The ESC is a writing competition this year.

Story:

• Each squad will have their own thread
• Each objective will run for two weeks, running from when stories are opened after Sunday meeting (at about 5 EST) to an hour before the meeting (Sundays, 3EST)
• The maximum number of posts that a squad can use on a  single objective is fifteen posts
• There is no minimum number of posts required for an objective

Posts:
The qualities posts will be graded on are, in descending order of importance:

• Plot development
• Detail included
• Spelling, grammar, formatting and punctuation
• Post length
• Character development/involvement

Plot:
Move the plot along to get full points

Details:
Make a realistic post that creates a rich environment for full points

Spelling, et. al.:
Make a post that has few errors

Post length:
Make a post that has 600 words or more

Character development/involvement:
Prove you have a character and he/she is actively involved in the story
