We've already had one really great question. And it's important to address so here it is.
Q: What do I do if the story post I want to use is in a locked thread?
A: There are two sort of easy options open to you. The first is to copy the text of the original post and paste it into a PM. Please be sure to let me know what story you're taking the post from, then send the PM to me. The next option is for those of you who use Google Docs. Copy and paste the post into the Doc, still let me know what story you're using and link the Doc to your final submission. Q: If I started out as a Navy character, but am now in the Army, can I use my first Navy post?
A: Absolutely. After all, this is a contest mainly aimed to seeing exactly how far you've come in your writing. If you began as a member of the Navy, that would be your earliest writings on the site.
