So I've been holding on to this for awhile, but I keep forgetting to tell you guys.
Alright, so Jar Jar replaced Padme as a Senator to the Republic Senate when she was away. During his time as a senator, he proposed giving the Chancellor emergency powers over the Army. Then the Chancellor, secretly Darth Sidious, ordered the Jedi to be killed, and he created the Galactic Empire.
Thus Jar Jar caused the downfall of the Republic.
Then I realized without the Galactic Empire, there would be no Vast Empire. Thus we can all thank Jar Jar.
