Boo everyone! As much as I would like to avoid the "wall of text" here is basically all the information you will need for the upcoming Halloween story "Among the Ruins". Why post it now? I want any and all questions concerns, and clarifications to occur before we get started. No I will not tell you specific details about our badguys until they are revealed in the story, but once they are this is where you will find the low down on our nemesis.

The best way to find out about the story is to watch the trailer (Army Main Comnet) but if you dislike those new fangled moving pictures here it is in text:

Observation Platform 86-Alpha (OP 86-A) has ceased all communication. This has happened before, due to sun spots and the platforms proximity to the center of the system, so High Command was not concerned. Three weeks ago a relief team was sent in to determine what happened to Epsilon team. They never transmitted their status report nor did team Zeta return to Tadath. Two days ago a distorted transmission was received from the platform,High Command has determined that it 86.3% certain the platform was infiltrated. They dispatched Phoenix Company out to secure survivors from Epsilon and Zeta teams, find out who infiltrated the platform and for what purpose, and eradicate the infiltrators.

How this will work:

• No this is not a comp, its just a story. Why? We have the HSC just a few weeks after this story ends and I want you all fresh and ready for that. I WILL be keeping track of your posts and "grading" them for my own purposes to give out promos/medals at the conclusion of the story.
     
• Squads will post in their own threads (this works since we basically will not be in the same parts of the platform).
   
• Bonus points will be given to troopers that post a personal story on a “missing moment” during the operation on OP 86-A. This would be a good opportunity for CD, fleshing out a NPC by writing from their perspective, writing your character interacting with an NPC, etc. You can also write with a trooper from another squad if its a logical point in the story (ie when you would actually be together on the transport or in the hanger perhaps) it will be counted and both squads would get bonus points. Stories should be posted on the StoryNet and should be labeled: “Halloween MM: [name of your story] [Participants in the story]”
   
• If you have open slots on your roster (roster not attachment roster), you may fill them with NPC’s, but this is optional and up to SL/ASL’s
     
• I will be posting the initial post on each squad thread and the new objectives for each squad. Havock will be with RAIDERS for the mission.

 

Useful Information:

• Epsilon and Zeta teams held a complement of about 500 personnel each. These would have mostly been administrators, scientist, clerical staff, and security personnel.
     
• The platform is HOT, typically the temperature is regulated by the computer systems, but something has gone wrong and they aren’t working.
