  Christophsis Crisis (Zippy)

Zippy was sitting in the storm trooper barracks alone and exhausted. He layed on his bunk and stared at the blank sealing with a lot on his mind. Mainly being he was back in the VE and he was here to stay. He admits having some falling outs and not being around as frequently as he should have been, but he was back and ready for action. Minutes passed but felt like hours and Zippy was starting to get agitated laying on in his bunk. He watched as fellow troopers came in and out of the barracks, some alone and some with a few others at a time. After about thirty minutes of laying on the barracks, a message came threw on his com-link.

"Private Zippy, this is head command. Do you copy?"

"Yes sir, I read you loud and clear. What seems to be the problem? Your voice sounds a little toned down sir," Zippy stated.

"Well, we have a problem in need of a troopers service and we figured you were more then likely not liking sitting around in your bunk, so we figured we would pitch the problem your way. If you would like to hear it of coarse."

"Well of coarse I would. You called the right trooper, that's for sure. I was starting to feel suffocated around here. So whats the problem sir?"

"Well, we need a trooper to head to Christophsis, a very large, industrious planet and see that the capital Chalcydonia is in order and to make sure the government is still remaining loyal to the Empire. We have heard rumors that there may be a sinister plot against the VE and we need some one to dig up information on that portion of the mission as well. You will be rewarded for your efforts, should you accept the mission of coarse. You may bring anything you see fit to use, but we recommend you keep it on the, semi lighter side of things. Droids, typical weapons, etc."

"You've got yourself a deal command. Anything is better then sitting around here waiting for something exciting to happen. I'll start packing immediately," Zippy concluded, jumping out of his bunk.

Zippy went over to his arsenal of armor, weapons, etc and began packing what he saw fit. Zippy brought his personally new favorite rifle, A280 Armor-Piercing Heavy Blaster Rifle, standard thermal detonators, C4's, etc. Typical rations and supplies as always. This trip, Zippy had a little surprise he would figure he would try out. He was always astounded with military droids and he just happened to purchase two new droids the other day. Zippy clicked on his wrist com and two Destroyer Droids rolled in from his droid rack, along with two B-1 Combat Battle Droids walked out as well.

(Droid toned voice) "Ready and willing sir. What are your orders?"

"We are heading to Christophsis. Head to Hangar bay 3 and get on the transport. We have a long mission ahead of us."

"Roger Roger," the battle droid nodded in comprehension.

"Its time we see what this little 'problem' is on this planet. We shall see if its stronger then me and my battle droids, Zippy said laughing as he put on his armor. Its time for some good old excitement."

---------------------------Several Hours Later---------------------------

Zippy and his battle droids landed in the capital city of Chalcydonia. It was a beautiful city. Tall shining buildings as far as the eye could see. They were clearly built to astonish and make whoever visited here, leave in awe. Zippy unpacked the provisions and supplies that he had brought along for the mission. Along with his newer droid companions, he figured this would be a fairly easy assignment with the droids along, but nothing ever goes right in the VE. Or anyway in the galaxy for that matter. Nevertheless, precautions were always the wisest thing to do.

"Welcome to Chalcydonia Private Zippy. We have been expecting your arrival. It's always an honor to have a trooper of the VE come to our world. Now, if you will come with me I will escort you to your chambers where you will be staying. We hope you enjoy your stay," As the greeting soldier turned and started to walk off.

Zippy looked around at the civilians and watched carefully at what their behaviors were. They seemed completely unaware of their surroundings, stumbling supplies and crates around. Nervously shaking their hands when trying to operate a terminal.

"Sir, why are the people around here so nervous? Their faces appear to be completely white and shaking frequently."

"We will fill you in on that when you are summoned to the debriefing tomorrow Private. Now, please, if you will join me in your chambers, we will talk about your stay."

Zippy stepped inside one of the larger buildings, not to far from where he originally landed. The interior was filled with expensive carpeting, along with many elegant looking statues. He then continued to follow the soldier into his chambers. The room was on the far side of the building with a stunning view of the horizon. It was like any other room otherwise. Holovid on the wall, typical living conditions for any normal civilian on this planet.

"Please, sit down Zippy. I will fill you in on the situation here. As you probably noticed, things aren't the way they should be recently."

"So what's the problem? The people all seemed pretty scared about something. It's as if they're being watched or something."

"Well Zippy, you are right. The loyal guard to the governor of the city has cracked down on its laws and security measures. Even one person caught doing even the slightest thing wrong could be sent to a holding cell and questioned. We have heard rumors that there may be something going on the in the capital building and we need to figure out what is going on. Zippy, we are going to need you to clean up the capital and get it straightened out, or I fear for my people that the situation may only get worse.

"Well soldier, look like I have a job to do huh? First things first, need to get situated here. Then its time to do a little recon of this city and see what I can dig up. Good day soldier. I will alert you of anything I find."

Zippy finished getting his new quarters all situated and decided to head out on patrol. He decided to leave the B-1 battle droids as security at his room. Zippy didn't want to take any unnecessary risks here. Especially on an unfamiliar world that he had no idea what was going on. He left the building and decided to head down into the main portion of the city. It was a vast area with markets, shops, and office buildings as far as he could see. There was one larger building at the very end of the street reading, "This is a restricted area. Any trespassers will be arrested and brought before the governor without question." This was very strange indeed. You have an amazing city with many loyal inhabitants, and then out of the blue you have this large, military looking facility.

"Alright, I can already tell that's going to be my first lead. I'm going to need a way to get in there. It looks as though shipments of supplies labeled 'classified' were written on the sides. If I can maybe get into one of those containers when they are unattended before they enter the compound, then I have a good shot at seeings what's inside."

Zippy brought his Droideka bodyguards back to his room and put them on security detail. Once that was done, he headed back to the military looking building. It seemed as though a new shipment of supplies was being brought in. Typical looking containers of food and supplies were on board the transport. However, a larger object was sitting on the transport covered by a large tarp.

"Alright, now's my chance. I need to get under that tarp and get inside before I'm spotted or this whole mission could be a bust."

He quickly ran over to the transport and got underneath the tarp while the officer delt with getting the cargo orders signed. Underneath the tarp however, he noticed containers labeled, the 'Black Hand'. They were far different looking in size and looked as though to be carrying weapons and armor. Clearly this was not your average supply shipment, but Zippy couldn't jump to conclusions yet. He still had to get proof as to what was going on here and that required more intel then what he had right now. The transport continued into the compound where Zippy could hear machines working and many people screaming orders at one another. He scurried out from under the tarp and ducked behind already placed barrels.

"What the hell is going on here? Zippy uttered to himself. There is military vehicles, weapons, armor, everything. It looks like they are preparing for something, but what? This is mind blowing to say the least. My first day hear and I find this in the middle of the capital city. What a marvelous day. I wonder if there may be some holo files in the commanders office."

Zippy quickly got up from the barrels as he ducked along rows of supplies to stay hidden. He then noticed a larger area that labeled 'Private' on the door. This looked to be a promising start to finding the commanders office. To his luck, the door was unlocked and no one was inside the medium sized office. Nothing seemed out of the
ordinary. Typical shipping orders for regular supplies. Food, building materials, and there were no signs of illegal activity. Chairs were placed around a longer, rectangular table and a holo map of the city was in the center, but what was out of place was the large amounts of weapons and armor being unloaded here and certain points on the map labeled with red dots in four distinct locations. Two dots on the main access routes into the city, and the other two dots consisted of one being the governors building and the other the hangar areas. What was the point of it all he wondered.

"Alright, I need to get out of here and report this to the soldier that greeted me. I can't call him on the com-link here though. I need to get out of here before I'm spotted."

He got out of the commanders office and snuck back down along the supplies to find some means of escape. A ventilation system was a crude choice to take, but it was a means of escape without alerting the guards to his presence. Zippy climbed into the vent and made his way out of the facility. A whole new stream of thoughts came to Zippy's mind when he climbed out of the vent and back onto the streets. What was going on? Who was planning it all and why? Questions he knew would be answered in a matter of time.

(Droid Voice) "Sir, we have a problem," The droid stated in his stern toned voice.

"What's going on?" Zippy said with a worried tone.

"We need you back here sir. We are under heady fire from Christophsis milita. Assistance required sir immediately."

"Hang in there B-1. I'll be right there. Try not to get shot for me best you can."

"Roger Roger," the droid confirmed.

"Great. How could things get any worse? You've got to love the predicaments I get myself in. You really do."

Zippy quickly headed back to the complex where he was staying to lend his droid body guards aid. As he progressed threw the building, he was stopped by militia.

"Private Zippy, you are hear by ordered to deactivate your droids and stand down by order of Governor Neveil! Put down your weapon immediately!"

Zippy quickly pulled out his blaster rifle and shot the guard in the chest. As he took cover behind a wall, he could hear more fire down at the end of the long corridor. He sprinted as fast as could, without tipping over anything, to get to his battle droids. He turned the corner to find six more militia men standing outside his door, blasters ready and firing. Zippy whipped out a thermal detonater from his supply pack and threw it over to where to militia were.

"Take cover!" One of the men yelled as gun fire pierced threw the air.

By that time though, it was far to late. It exploded, sending the militia and shrapnel flying in many directions. It was no longer the nice complex that he had enjoyed a few hours earlier. Zippy went over to check on his droid guards.

"Commander, what is your status? Are any of you injured or shot? Any parts I'm going to have to replace?"

"Well sir, the droidekas are fine due their shield generators, and us B1's are fine for the time being. We will need to recharge soon though due to the battle taking a large portion out of our power reserves."

"I'll get out the smaller power generator I brought along for the trip. Good thing I did, because there is more going on here then I had originally thought."
