30 Years Ago: A private company starts reforming the moon of Thyveck, seeing it's locations as a prime trading space.

19 Years Ago: The company collapses and is absorbed into a larger land trader. Thyveck operations are ceased as too costly and the desert moon is left with pockets of lush jungles perpetuated by an advanced moister redistribution system.

12 Years Ago: After a lengthy legal battle a group of pioneer are given permission to explore and settle on Thyveck. Some of the toughest humans in the galaxy these pioneers move in with little equipment and start exploring and settling on world.

7 Years Ago: Roughly 45% of the pioneers that first explored the world have stayed on world and created settlements. They are joined by a transport containing 20,000 survivors of a distant war who are granted land rights. They set up a central trading settlement and refuelling station thus fulfilling Thyveck's original purpose.

3 Years Ago: Despite complaints the Republic built a military fortress transport in orbital battle stations to provide a base close to hyper space lanes. Population is granted access to many Republic services and cheap importation of goods that are brought with Republic ships.

14 months Ago: Receiving intelligence that warned of the Imperial attack on Thyveck, they start an intensive propaganda campaign aimed at arming and converting the local population and hardy pioneers to their cause.

11 Months Ago: Invasion. An overwhelming fleet of Vast Empire ships attack the moon and lay siege to the orbital station. They had been unaware of the shield generators on the Bastion city and are forced to pull back.

10 Months Ago: ARC troopers successfully infiltrate the bastion city and disable the shield protecting the orbital platforms. The Navy immediately forces the surrender of the stations. To Imperial surprise the Republic garrison abandons the fortress and disperses amongst the local population and remote regions.

9 Months Ago: Having finally disabled all the traps left behind an Imperial garrison moves into the bastion city and the shield is reactivated. Seeing the world as secure the fleet moves on with the intention that Thyveck becomes a secure rearming station along VE supply lines. Completing the Republic plans VE award contol of the planet to a local imperial governor much to the pupolous' dismay.

8 Months Ago: The first Imperial soldier is killed by a civilian. Weary of an uprising the governor places a small garrison in each of the local cities.

7 Months Ago: Both armed civilians and Republic soldiers start a concerted campaign to disrupt Imperial efforts. Imperial troops are forced to be careful in using weaponry around civilian sectors and start to struggle against a more organised opposition than expected. With their knowledge of the local terrain the first pioneers to explore the moon lead well armed Republic troops into dangerous locations. The “freedom fighters” mine routes used by Imperial vehicles, bomb garrisons, ambush patrols and on one occasion even manage to fire some shells into the fortress city from the mountains.

6 Months Ago: Phoenix Company is brought in to deal with the guerrilla forces. They have some initial success in routing out cells of Republic forces.

5 Months Ago: SCOPE equipment starts to struggle on world, clearly not tested moving between such extreme environments. They find it difficult to continue their initial success against the dispersed and extremely mobile forces.

4 Months Ago: A virulent plague wipes out the nearest Imperial installation to the moon of Thyveck and communication becomes more limited. Republic forces collapse a few systems ahead and the war front rapidly moves a long way from Thyveck. The local governor has an armed civilian publically executed for firing on Imperial forces to much outcry. After witnessing too many blunders Pheonix company declares itself outside of the chain of command and maintains low communication with the local military. An administrative error at command means their location is lost in the main operations system.

3 Months Ago: The war is all but lost when the last of the LAATs breaks down due to the sand storms over the barren regions in combination with the moist hot air over the jungles. With their mobility lost supplies are transported in convoys across the barren wilderness between the lush “islands.” Phoenix company sets up a base of command in a disused parts warehouse on the outskirts of Bastion City.

2 Months Ago: Republic troops brazenly march through the south eastern city unopposed. It takes Imperial forces three hours to arrive in sufficient numbers to drive them out, but the Republic soldiers disperse. A handful of soldiers from the reported three platoons seen are killed or captured. One of Phoenix company’s squads is wiped out to a man. Wraith and Raiders fight their way to the scene, not to recover the bodies, but the precious weapons and equipment.

1 Month Ago: The resistance efforts step up. Imperial patrols are reduced and garrisons move to secure locations outside of the cities and remain only to keep an eye on weapon trafficking. Phoenix company squads meet much stronger resistance trying to route out cells. Their opinion is that highly trained Republic Commandos have somehow got planet side. An imperial ship docking at Thyveck for repairs reports recent Republic sightings in the area.

All the E45's are broken now, except for a handful kept at Bastion where they cannot be exposed to the environments.

The squads make use out of whatever weapons and equipment they have maintained/scavenged.

PM me about any spec equipment you may want to still have.

6 Months almost unsupported losing a drawn out campaign is a long time, I expect this time to have had an effect on your character.

The squads have use of wheeled vehicles and the odd airspeeder to get around.

Haven't had the time to post the full story but at this point:

*There is an unofficial ceasefire, but skirmishes (such as your stories) are ongoing. Large battles are not going on right now.
*New Republic are investigating the level of damage done to Bastion
*VE Naval forces are dismantling the orbital stations for removal
*Raziel and VE command staff are bartering with the New Republic over who pulls forces out.
*Once Bastion is confirmed as unusable and the orbital stations are removed Thyveck will just be another small, unimportant planet in our space and the NR will have to decide their next move.
*VE will move to have civilians retake command of the planet to try and disrupt their alliance with the NR and garner peace
