He was definately tall; probably taller than most men, surely.

Standing at over six feet and six inches easily, Dann Barelli stepped into the room. He wore his dress uniform, and it fit the mound of muscles tightly. His eyes were a predatory green and his white teeth gleamed between his lips as they curved into an animal smile. His lips were enclosed in a light goatee. His hair, though, was what stood out the most. Thick dreadlocks flowed down to his mid-back, wrapped together in a tail so they wouldn't fall to the sides and get in his way. On the corner of his left eye was a series of three circular figures tattooed in the formation of a triangle, the symbol that represented the Barelli clan at his home planet, Kiffu.

The man strolled in with extreme confidence into the room that he had been told to come to to report for this new assignment. He had blazed through basic training, in his class his skills were unmatched, his reflexes unbeaten. He was naturally a fighter, he was vicious. All his life--all twenty-three years of it--had been dedicated to training to combat any and all challengers and eliminate them with extreme prejudice.

Now Dann, or "Hobbes" as he was called, had joined the most ruthless government the Galaxy had ever known. He didn't care for ideals, all he was really interested was in fighting... in defeating an enemy. Dann was a warrior, and all warriors needed a cause. Ideals and philosophies were in the details, Dann didn't have time for those. While another man might be debating, Dann would use the same time to aim a blaster at the man's head and slug him down.

The drill instructors at boot camp had liked this quality in the man.

Now he finally stepped into the room and his confident stroll stopped at a halt as he snapped to attention. His master had drilled this into him, so it hadn't been dificult to adapt when it came to the Imperial Navy.

"Cadet Barelli reporting, sir!" he announced as he looked forward, awaiting to be addressed.

Welcome Recruit Hobbes:

I am Chief Warrant Officer Rorran "Slasher" Gorma, Executive Officer of the Academy. Welcome to the academy, pretty soon you'll be writing stories of adventure, heartbreak, whatever, the whole 9 yards.

But first there is just a little bit of paperwork we call basic training that you'll need to get through, minor stuff, nobody's died in years... though we still haven't found a few of those cadets from last class... anyway, not to worry, you're in capable hands.
