Apparently the time most people are supposed to apply to the DJO is after 4 months in the Vast Empire, but I want to know if there would be any possible exception to that ever.

Ok, so you are suggesting that we wait past the required four months or that we wait until we are at least the equivalent of a Sergeant in the army?  And another thing, why is there a requirement to get in the VEDJ?  I mean, I know it is like an elite group of Dark Jedi, but why the time requirement?  Why not just a rank or activity requirement?  Someone could be inactive in the VEN for 4 months then say, "hey, I am going to join the VEDJ."

I know it is like an elite group of Dark Jedi, but why the time requirement? The requirement is there because, as Talon rightly stated, waiting is a better idea than joining as soon as possible. Your writing capabilities usually improve during this time, as does your understanding of the club in general. We also utilize this four-to-five month lull as a lengthy trial period – we observe everything you do. You are thus being tested right now along with everyone else. Someone could be inactive in the VEN for 4 months then say, "hey, I am going to join the VEDJ." Hence, young squire, the requirement being "four-to-five months of active service."
