Ok the new patch has made some subtle changes, but atm it seems like these changes make a big impact on gaming. Now although some parts of the new patch, like the reduced force powers i like. I dont really like the way they've made a lot of the saber moves less powerful. I havent had the chance to play onlime yet, but these are some other views on it: Bambers from the Jolt.uk forums: I like this patch. The dfa is just as easy to do as before except now you cannot turn when performing the move. Should stop the lame spamming of this.  theres much more sabre blocking and dismemberment suddenly seems to be working on the bot server I tested it on, although only chopping off shins and forearms. The range of different flips seems to be more varied. Saber fights are alot more impressive. Blue doesnt suck anymore. You cant run when gripping someone at level3. The range of drain is shorter and its cost is more. The cost of heal is more and its effect half (I'm thinking they might have hit heal too harshly compared to drain atm but im not sure.) imo its good. Jafo of http://jk2ed.jediknightii.net/ Patch 1.03 I have a problem when updates destroy a game. This happened in Counter-Strike 3 times over. After CS 5.5 the game just sucked. Well here is another one of those times I just sit here scratching my head. Although I like the idea that now when I start up MP I don't crash 50% of the time anymore, there are a couple of things I don't like. Like the new Icons they use to show when someone is talking. Couldn't you guys at raven make some new ones? The talking one looks like there is a control panel over my head and is gaudy. The Internet game browser ones look terrible. The one thing that really leaves me speechless is the new 45 minute long saber battles and then someone comes a long with the lightning force and zaps everyone in 1 second. So here is a tip on playing "if"you want to win, don't duel, don't fight just watch people fight in a group dwindling there health down little by little while you wait like a vulture, then zap all of them. Avoid anyone until you recharge then do it again. Me myself I think its as bad as a camper on a platform level who hides in the corner and pushes people just as they respawn. I liked the game before the patch. I wasn't all that worried about the one hit kills because it took a lot more skill to try and hit me with that one hit power stance and in the mean time I could whack them 3 times. I can understand a patch that fixes bugs, but when you change the overall game play you mess around with all the players who have already grown accustom to work around them. The one hit kill only killed n00bs it was very easily avoided by a strafe. Also, did you let the whole geek franchise of the loyal star wars fans convince you that saber fights were just too quick? I thought games were meant to frag? It should take a good player no more than four blows to kill someone. That's all it took before now it takes 10 or more. By then someone else has joined the saber battle and then someone else and then here comes the zapper So what do you think? to be honest i think some people are going a bit far over a simple pacth

I think the 1.03 patch is pretty good. Saber fighting is a tad long, but . . . the other improvements make up for it.

I personally like it, my only fear is that with saber fighting taking longer in a game with guns you'll find it too hard to use. then again they've made the repeaters secondary fire (in my opinion the most lethal anti-jedi weapon) use up more ammo.

Well, I personally hate the new patch.  The sabering fights are no longer fun to watch.  You don't get as much damage, so you no longer have to "stay on your toes".  The combos and many moves are all messed up. When you do the uppercut in easy saber mode, there is a 1.5 second delay before you can move again. So, I deleted the new patch and reinstalled JK2 so that it's back to the old version.  I plan to stay with this old version of JK2.  So, if you want to play me, you're just going to have to have the old version, because the new version (in my opinion), should be put in the trash.
