Just some sites I found useful, and thought people might not know about.
1. Some general fiction advice, not all of which is relevant to the VE's style. The fight scene stuff is definitely worth a read though.

2. How injuries work. For all your concussion, scrapes, and knife stabbing needs. No blasters though, more's the pity. Good site.

3. General "how militaries work". Seems accurate from what very, very little I know, and some of it's applicable. Use your own judgment, but not too dull a read.

4. How to write a fight scene. As on the tin.

5. Some fellow's guide to military fiction. Short, useful, and got some good tips.
