Techie Question

I've currently got an ABIT motherboard and a SATA II hd. I have a Barracuda SATA hd still in the box. I want to install the Barracuda, but was wondering if that would even work in the first place.

Will a mobo that supports SATA II be able to also work with a SATA hd?

Yes a SATA II compliant motherboard will support a SATA I disk. SATA is backwards compatible.
