Ok with the word limit thing alright.
Seriously I am getting tired of being restricted to a WORD LIMIT just because someone doesn't want to read a lot. I cannot write effectively when I have to stop at a certain spot. And I know that others feel the same way.
Forgive me for being blunt, blatant and at the moment downright rude.
I agree that the minimum word limit should be at least 300. But what do you accomplish by limiting the creativity of those who go over your limit?
This is one of the reasons why I don't like Competitions. It shouldn't feel like we have to jump through hoops just to write something that,for some of us,COMES from us.

Bright, this is similar to the Quick Write Competition in that short posts, posted quickly is the goal. As I've heard somebody say before, anybody can write a long post and make it good, but when you're forced to pack that goodness into a small post and still have it be just as good as the long post, that's when your creativity and writing ability truly shines.
