Happy New Year Everyone!
I wish you all a great new year and that all your goals and aspirations come true in 2011!
If you had some goals in 2010 that didn't come true, ask yourself why. Did you do enough to make them come true? Did you dedicate yourself to your goals to see them through?
Make 2011 the best year yet. Each year of your life should be better than the last. This is why we are to live, right?
Don't take second best when you know you can do better. Do your best at all things so that you will always be proud of your actions.

I don't believe the world will end, though I think it more likely that something else will happen such as the poles "switching" or something having to do with the Earth's magnetic field or something...But not the world going to smithereens. Just because the Mayan calendar stops in 2012, doesn't mean it's the end of all man kind |

As for the rest of you. The world was going to end in 1999 as well, even got scientist to claim the Y2k virus was all real and would launch the missiles because computers (and/or programmers) are stupid. I seem to recall Nostradamus had predicted our demise another year. Now its the Mayans and their inability to make a proper calendar.
In my comparatively short time on this Earth I can tell you that we are not only mortal we are gluttons for the psychological torment that comes with fear. If you read history, every single generation has had an end of the world prophecy (read some papers from 12/31/1899). If it happens, so be it. If not, the news people will shrug their shoulders and try to find a new theory to fill their news cycles and scare us into being automatons. Just like the church has for a millennium.
