Dijori unpacked his suitcase; he was glad to be rid of the smell of recycled air, and even more glad to be fulfilling his duty as a jedi knight. It had been fifteen long years of grueling training and apprenticeship under his Master before he was finally deemed worthy of the final test. The memory of the jedi high council meeting was still fresh in his mind and he couldn't help but grin slightly at the sight of Master Windu giving him the nod of approval. Of course, the council had been calm as they always were despite giving him such good news; Master Yoda had said "celebrate when the trial is complete, you will- but now you must concentrate..." The others had nodded solemnly.
The fact that he had been granted an audience at all had been remarkable; the clone wars had been drawing on for many years now and much of the time, the jedi masters were not able to stay in the temple. Master Yoda, however, insisted upon seeing most every young jedi into the trial because he had trained them himself as young children...
The cloth flap for a door to the adobi hut swept skyward for a moment to reveal Ninu Pinsha, elder jedi in the Kisown Refuge on Bilixi. She was an alert older woman who always seemed to be in a hurry, telling instead of asking for things to be done. He only knew this because the three times he had spoken to her, he had said nothing at all, but found himself obeying commands or completing tasks. All of those three times had been aboard the transport he, and the other three jedi of Dijori's agel, had traveled on from Coruscant. She had been their escort, but said nothing about what they would find on the planet. Instead, she had spent most of the two day travel in a meditative state, eyes half closed and mouth slightly agape. Now, though, she was tearing around the room.
"Is there something I can help you with Master Pinsha?" Dijori offered. She didn't answer him immediately; the hut was small (with only one central room), but had enough room to fit a cot, a refresher stool, a small stone fountain in the floor, and a rock fire-pit directly next to it. It was a humble, comfortable shack.
"Where have you put my wears? Did I not send you to this very hut to deposit them?" She was still pecking around the room, moving some old white garbs from a stone bench in the corner, as if to check if he were hiding her luggage.
"No, Master- you only handed the luggage to me. I placed your things with Anani's hut- I thought you would prefer to stay with a jedi of your gender, Master..." Ninu Pinsha cackled slightly at this and turned to look at him.
"A jedi of my gender?" A slight smile had appeared on her face, which Dijori took as a good sign.
"Yes, Master," he said, returning the smile, assuming that he had just made some traction with the otherwise seriouis woman. Then, her faced turned grim, and she said-
"You have a great deal to learn about the jedi, young one." And then she was striding past him; Dijori was crestfallen and surprised by the remark, but didn't waste any time in re-collecting himself. Before he had been accepted for the trials, he might have beat himself up for not being held in the high esteem of his masters. Now, though, he would have to be satisfied with his own abilities... He would need to in order to survive the trials...
