OOC:
A CD story for both Skarr and Lancer.

Beep. Beep. Skarr woke to an incessant beeping. He had no idea what it was. He rose from the bed and almost fell. It wasn’t the comm unit on his wall. It wasn’t his comlink on his bedside table. Skarr rooted around in his belongings and found his datapad. It was emitting that beeping noise. He had never heard the sound come from this device before. He turned it on and sighed. It seemed the beeping occurred when a priority mission was sent. Norith opened the message and began reading:

Corporal Norith Skarr,

We have word of a terrorist organization forming on Raxus Prime. From what we’ve heard they are organizing strikes against the Vast Empire. You will go to Raxus Prime to deal with these terrorists. Sergeant Lancer, from ARC Team Theta, will assist you. You will meet Sergeant Moor in the hangar bay at 1600. Use whatever resources necessary to eliminate this organization.

Skarr frowned; there was no information on who sent the message. There were only files on the planet and the terrorist organization that called themselves the Red Moon Initiative. And there was no information on Sergeant Lancer, either. Skarr thought that Lancer must be a model soldier if he was accepted into ARC Team Theta. He looked at his chrono it was 1525. Skarr swore, he needed to get ready. He picked up his pack and immediately began packing armor and weapons into it.

The hall outside his apartment was empty. He had to get over to the base as soon as possible. He was glad that the apartment was so close to the base. Skarr ran across the street and was passed by security. He ran for the elevator and got it started to the basement floors.

The elevator doors opened and Skarr was treated to the image of a YT-1300. He stared in amazement. It was a real beauty. Sergeant Artemis Moor stood at the extended loading ramp. Skarr hefted his pack and walked up to the older Sergeant.

“Hello, Skarr. Glad you could make it.” Moor said. Skarr nodded and stood by the ramp.

“Where’s this Lancer character?” Skarr asked.

Moor grunted, “Late. As usual.” Skarr swallowed. That was already a bad sign. His model soldier image faded away. He stood waiting with Moor at the bottom of the ramp. At 1605, the elevator doors opened and Skarr got his first look at Lancer.

His first thought was that Lancer was tall, Skarr could tell that even from here that Lancer was taller than him. Lancer walked with a swagger toward them. His long hair hung down like a curtain and looked a little ruffled. A cigarette hung limply from his mouth. And he wore only pieces of his ARC armor.

Skarr’s mouth dropped. He was going to have to work with this guy? With some pretty boy careless rogue? Skarr looked at Moor shaking his head. He wasn’t going to work with this guy. He wasn’t going to take orders from him.

“Heya, Moor. How goes the desk job?” Lancer asked cockily.
