A call has gone out from Army High Command. There has been a wide range of army personnel determined to have deserted the Corps in the aftermath of Thrawn’s assault on Tadath (during our last ESC), and this will not be tolerated. You have been assigned a bounty to bring back one of your fellow Stormtroopers whom has been determined Away Without Official Leave.
By means of a personal story posted on the Stormtrooper Corps Storyboard you are to detail your mission and what the ultimate outcome is. This is to be a minimum of 1,500 words, but may be broken up into several posts.
It is your job to go out and bring these soldiers back to the Vast Empire, and I will provide you with as much information as I can provide, such as last known contact information. But, several guidelines must be followed, these are licensed bounties, not free-for-all backwater planet justice.
If you are able to find them on a social networking site such as facebook, do not publically post on their wall/space/comment box/whatever asking them to come back. Many people prefer to keep such things in the back as “closet nerds” and such. You are more than welcome to send them a message however.
Please do NOT spam them. At tops send two emails/messages (with ample time between them), and then write them off as no longer interested (or unfindable in-story, or something). It’s okay, sometimes people no longer use old emails, or just moved on and don’t want to be part of the Vast Empire anymore.
And, a word of advice: Don’t just ask them to come back, let them know
why they should come back.
Completion of your story will earn you 10,000 ICs and an entry into a raffle to win a rare collector’s Steampunk Stormtrooper ICS item, which is no longer manufactured and will never be restocked!
Should you bring your bounty back to pop into the VE for a bit to say “Hi” your reward is upped to 50,000 ICs and three raffle tickets.
If they return to active duty, then you earn 200,000 ICs and five raffle tickets. If they are an officer, increase it to 500,000 ICs and ten raffle tickets. Should they remain active for three whole months the ICs will be doubled at that time!
Bonuses may exist for particularly "high-grade" bounties for some of our greatest vets or active members, awarded at my discretion.
I know this question will arise, so I'll give a definate answer. Yes, you may attempt more than one bounty if you so desire, the rewards are determined separate from each, and thus will stack.
In the case of multiple members contributing to a bounty’s return, the reward will be split evenly amongst them, rounding up where necessary (no thirds or halves of a raffle ticket for example).
And not quite a competition reward, but certainly noteworthy and shiny, if you manage to bring back a member, you count as “recruiting” them for the purpose of medals and/or commendations, which means you can get some pretty things for your ID line!
Deadline is Sunday September 26th, 2010, and that’s the deadline for results as the raffle will be performed at the meeting that day. I may still award the ICs for the following week, at my discretion.
Now, get out there and find those pretties, it’s bounty huntin’ time!
Clarification: The AWOLees may actually be on the reserves or retired list, and they don't necessarily have to have left during or near the time of the ESC. Anyone not active is pretty much fair game!
