first, get a picture of any current DJO member doing bad things to a goat.
second, pray they don't kill you for have said picture of them in flagrante delicto w/said goat
third, realize that if they are willing to do that to a goat, they prolly can't be blackmailed

Heh, in more seriousness, not insulting the members of the DJO is usually a first good step 
After that, the basic requirement is 6 months of good activity within your primary division (be that Army or Navy) and writing skills that are above average. Having two recommendations from folks wouldn't hurt things, they aren't necessarily required, but as I've said, wouldn't hurt.
Then... we have to be accepting applications. When will that happen? Only the Order knows 
I didn't get in til after about two years of being here, I think, so it's not an easy task, but it is definitely rewarding if you put the effort into it. "Put a blaster in a citizen's hands, and you have an expendable troop. Put a purpose in his heart, and you win a soldier." |

Yes, really I enjoyed writing up my last story immensely. Got it posted last week actually, rather happy with how it turned out. Everything deals with your character rather than trying to meet several other things at once (some guidelines exist in the early ranks, but hey, that's normal). It's pure character development one might say, lets you explore a plethora of things you can't find in squad(ron) stories, or explore them deeper than you normally could. |

Ugh.
Everytime I see a post reply in this comnet catagory I get my hopes up that someone has reopened applications. You'd think I'd get used to it, but no: the disappointment is just as bad every time.

Hunter, before you correct someone's English, make sure that they're actually incorrect. There's absolutely nothing wrong with saying "do it proper", except for the fact that you don't say it that way. Even if you somehow manage to find a source that contradicts my bold and arrogant statement above, the rules of the English language are all made up bull shit anyways. According to the Oxford English Dictionary, all it takes are three people in agreement to create a word. Therefore, I'm assuming the same goes for grammar and mechanics.
