Yeah, or alternatively Lucas went bat-shit crazy and lost the plot, or he simply hates every last one of us and thought we wouldn't notice (Also supported by Kingdom of the crystal skull)
You really shouldn't get plot holes so big you can park Buick's in them, confused with actual narrative structure. |

It has some decent points, but it tends present a slanted view of several topics, and flat out ignores and/or creates some others.
Entertaining, but not necessarily epic.

Well, technically Chewie hung around Han because of his life-debt to Han. Han, you got kicked out of the Imperial Academy at some point, rescued Chewie from imprisonment. Due to the Wookie sense of honour, he has to protect Han with his life in return. Eventually they develop a friendship. So that part is off in the article. As well the YT-1300 (The class of ship Han has) is a very popular ship for its ruggedness and ease of repair, as well as its ability to be easily modified. Therefore it's very likely for the ship that is supposedly in the middle of RotS to be just another of the same class. (Most likely its an Easter egg thrown in there by Lucas just because...) Anyways... that's just what I think (due to way to much time spent reading Wookiepedia...) |

Most of your post is based off of Expanded Universe information, Stewart. The article Hunter pointed out looks at the true canon (aka, the movies and only the movies) alone. The movies never give any details about why Han and Chewie are together, how common/popular YT-1300s are, etc.
