OOC:
Peeeps: Havock and Jaenna

The pages of text scrolled by on the tiny terminal screen. Havock kept rubbing her eyes to force them to come into focus but they were fighting her. She had to get a report in before 0900 that morning, and had stupidly stayed way too late at Jaenna's ship. She increasingly missed the days when they just lived together. For more reasons than just the convenience of being able to talk until the wee hours and not have to walk home in the middle of the night.

A cup of caf appeared on the table next to her. Havock stared at it oddly wondering where it came from, then two hands snaked their way around her shoulders. "You look tired."

She turned her chair so she could see the woman who had managed to sneak into her quarters. I should probably have that lock looked at. "What are you doing awake? I'd still be snoring if I didn't need to get this report done."

"You're not kidding, and you like to steal covers." Jaenna smiled for a second then quickly frowned and broke contact, taking a full step backwards. She still had so many things to deal with after whatever happened on Coruscant. The one lasting consequence seemed to be a complete and utter fear of getting to close to someone, and at the moment that person was Havock. She nodded and started to exit but stopped when she felt a pull on her arm.

Havock sighed. "Please don't leave."

Jaenna looked at her for a long moment then silently moved to stand next to Havock.

Taking a grateful sip of the caf, the squad leader returned to her work, sifting through pointless intel files just in case one of them related to a previous mission RAIDERS had participated in.

Out of nowhere a hand grabbed her shoulder, not so gently, and gripped down hard. "Geezus, Jae. What the heck?"

She pointed at the screen. "That." It was more of a growl.

"Jaenna, what's wrong."

"That!" This time she yelled and only got louder as she continued. "That Ayme, fracking that!"

She made a sound that caused Havock to jump and stormed out of the door. Leaving a very confused woman in her wake. She looked confused at the door for a long time then glanced in the cup of caf, wondering if it was spiked. Then returned to the intel report and tried to figure out what had set Jae off. The name of the entry wasn't all that interesting, then she read the words that caused her to drop the mug, it was the name of a company she had heard only once or twice. "Oh shit." Havock jumped up and ran out the door after Jaenna.

"Jae what hell? Don't tell me that report is true!" Havock had sprinted up the ramp of the IVE REDTHORN-CLASS SCOUT, that had been dubbed Renegade Ghost and instantly began to questioning Jaenna. "What the hell happened back on Coruscant, Jae?" She approached the other woman, who was standing at a table that was in the middle of the lounge area of the ship.

Jaenna stayed silent, her shoulders pulled upwards, and her head down as she stared at a few pieces of paper that were spread out on the table. A HoloImager was sitting to the right of the papers, the image of a grown, and slightly older looking woman standing in the light of Hologram. The distressed woman just stood there, staring down.

The blonde moved closer to the dark haired woman, eyes full of worry, but face showing a slight tinge of anger as her hands clenched into and out of fists. "Jae. Talk to me. Stop keeping stuff from me." The woman sighed, obviously stressed out as well. More terrified than anything to find out whether or no what the report had said was true.

"It's true." Jae said quietly, Hav's fears realized.

Jaenna had never really said anything about her birth parents. Only that they hadn't really ever been around. She wasn't even sure if she had told Havock the story of how she had gotten her wonderful cybernetic arm. The woman sighed as she turned around, steel blue eyes had changed to that sea-foam color, puffy and bloodshot from crying. She leaned back against the edge of the table, crossing her arms over her chest. She stared at Havock for a few very long moments.

"You're... serious?" Havock questioned, expression losing the anger and sharing the worry her eyes held. Jaenna simply nodded and Havock took a deep shuddering breath. "You know if AHC finds out about that-"

"They won't." Jaenna spat, her eyes narrowing. She hated to be so rude and hateful towards Havock. But she couldn't let what she had done to a high society member of a well known tech company get out in the open.

The other woman sighed and shook her head. "Jae... I can't- Why? Why did you do that to him? Don't tell me you're the one who took his damn arm."

Jaenna turned away from Havock and walked over to one of the storage compartments in the side of the ship. She opened it and pulled out what was obviously a right arm frozen in carbonite. She held it up and shook it slightly, as if saying 'Here ya god. Here's the proof right here.' She scowled at it and tossed it onto the couch that sat to the right of the lounge area, then looked back at Havock. "They took mine. I'm taking theirs."

"Wait wait!" Havock sputtered out, her eyes growing wide. "Theirs? What the frack to do you mean THIERS?"

The other woman was silent and moved down the hall and towards th cockpit. Havock scrambled after her, still trying to get a hold of what exactly was going on. Finally, she burst into the cockpit and saw Jae setting coordinates for Coruscant. Havock sat down in the co-pilot's chair and glared at Jaenna.

"I'm-" Havock began.

"No you're not, Ayme."

Havock snarled, and slammed her fist down on the arm rest of the chair. "Dammit, Jaenna Reed Caldwin! Yes I am!"

Jaenna looked at her, her face full of concern, anger, rage, hurt, confusion and most of all - determination. "What about RAIDERS?"

What about RAIDERS? The words echoed through her brain a second and a third time. She couldn't just leave, she was supposed to be in charge. Yet there wasn't a presence in that damn galaxy that was going to pull her out of that seat.

"Get outta here Ayme." She continued to flip switches and prep the shuttle for take off.

"No." Havock whispered quietly. Which got her a raised eyebrow and a scolding look from the woman in the pilots chair. "I'm not leaving, you got away last time for one reason Jaenna. I was in a coma. As I sit here awake, and breathing like hell I'm letting you go now."

"What about RAIDERS, Ayme?"

Havock rolled her eyes and punched some buttons on the control panel, slightly harder than she needed to for normal operation. A voice crackled over the comm. "Tadath security."

"This is Sergeant Major Katash, code 54-760-9B, I need to request a leave of absence for myself and Senior Sergeant Caldwin. Can you patch that through."

"Ma'am, yes, but the formal ok will take about thirty minutes."

Havock snapped the buckle in for the safety harness. "Yea, sorry you'll have to leave me a message." She flipped off the comm and turned to Jaenna. "What are you waiting for? Lets go."

Jaenna blinked and rapped her hands on the controls. "You're going to get into trouble."

The blond woman punched the arm rest on her chair. "I'm always in trouble Jaenna, where have you been? Either I'm dieing, or I'm getting reprimanded, or I'm close to you which gets me shit from HC. I don't care. In fact one of the only things I actually care about is you, and you're hurting. So not the army, galaxy or you are going to convince me to leave this god damn chair."

Jae didn't say anything she just continued to stare. "Fly the ship, just fly the ship."

She nodded slowly and fired up the engine.
