Prefect's Report 4.18.10 Greetings! I haven't done these in a while, so let's see if we can't get everything up to date tonight.Extraordinary Circumstance This platoon story was anything but a success. Why? Some would argue that it was a story in one thread. Thus called, a clusterfuck by some. I disagree. The story was rushed to get put out for some activity, and then once it got out everyone had their own ideas on it and no one was managing the story save one person trying with her last breath. A valiant effort to be sure, but not a successful one. Large stories require more effort, they cannot be left to the fates at least 2-3 people need to be managing the single thread co-operatively. Command needs to get more involved with things, and that includes us on the top. You're going to see that in the future....the VERY near future. At any rate, there was effort put in to the story and that needs to be rewarded. Squad Leaders, be sure and put in a list of people that need rewards or be subject to higher power deciding who gets what.AWOL Check I understand its that time again. Your Platoon Staff has deemed that it is time for another AWOL Check and will be starting in a short time. They will be contacting you with more information.New Storylines Make sure you are getting your new stories approved for accuracy and approval. It would suck to put all that work in to a story and then halfway through get bitched out for 95% of the horrible things that went wrong in that story. Cover your own ass and do it right the first time! 
Position Changes As we all know Tanus Solvona has been barely holding his head above water for a long while now and needed some help. He put out a call 2 weeks ago for a Platoon Adjutant and finally found one his past week. Havock, from the RAIDERS Squad will be taking on a Dual Role as Squad Leader and Platoon Adjutant. Congrats to her!
Also, Verkur has finally completed his training for Assistant Squad Leader and will be serving Havock as the new RAIDERS ASL. Congratulations to him!Gaming Squad For a while now there have been elevated talks about bringing gaming back into the equation for the Vast Empire, as the most we usually see it is during competitions and that is not much. I have been putting energy into forming a Gaming Squad which is open to both the Army and the Navy for those who would rather game That is not to say they won't write: for they will have a story to write on. They just won't write as much due to gaming being their preferred medium. Whereas normal squads would write for the majority of their activity, the Gaming Squad will write whenever gaming is not an option to them. The Aerospace Corps is the only division we have here in the Vast Empire that can pilot the exclusive TIE Hunters, as one of their many vehicles at their disposal. They also engage in a multitude of ground-based battles. I have been given authority to engage this as a sort of trial-run for six weeks then re-evaluate to see if this is worth keeping on as a project. In the meantime, it is fully open to those that want to be involved in such a project. Bear in mind, you do NOT need to be a member of the Gaming Squad in order to game, but rather they are here because that is the focus they would like to take. They will be encouraging those of you not among their members to join them in their games however so you can look forward to that. I would like to thank those who decided to help us our with this:

- Madman promoted to Sergeant
