Razor had finally finished his disk throwers.  They were perfect killing machines.  The magnetic coil was almost silent and they had worked flawlessly in the simulated mission he had gone through yesterday.  He loaded up his pack with disc canisters and slung it over his back. 

On his way out he grabbed his DL-44 blaster pistol and jogged through the barracks to the Space station where he met up with his training buddy Skarr.

"Hows it goin'?" asked Skarr casually.

His civy clothes did not seem to fit his militaristic personality.  They were on their way to Eriadu where a couple of miners from the ghetto of Eriadu were causing a lot of problems for the Eriadu government.

Razor looked quite at ease in his cowboy hat and jeans. 

"Lets get this party started." he said. 

Skarr and Razor walked up the loading platform and onto the loading platform and sat down in their seats on the star transport. 

As they sat down both Razor and Skarr pulled out their Holopads and began reviewing their mission objectives.

They had recently been drawn into a small office and told that they were being sent to shut down a small miners rebellion by taking down the leader.  A man named Sidacious Puck.

They were on their way on an exciting mission and razor couldn't wait to teach Skarr how to use the disc throwers and to use them in the upcoming mission.

OOC:

Skarr and I will be the only one telling this story.  It is an assassination story about a mining group that does not like the trade regulations set by the Vast Empire.  We will be assassinating their leader.

"These discs are fired through a magnetic repulsion chamber which makes them almost completely silent.  They are cortosis covered razor sharp discs so they can handle incoming blaster fire and they can slice through most armor.

It straps onto your wrist and the bar can flip down into your hand.  To fire it pull back on the bar and discs will fire out of the magnetic chamber.  When your disc thrower runs out of shots just slap another canister in the launcher on the side of the disc shooter.

You ready to do this thing?" Razor asked as the ship put down on Eriadu.

"Lets do this." exclaimed Skarr.

They got off the the space transport and walked down to the ground level street.  They were staying at a small java joint that had two rooms on top of it run by a besalisk.  They weren't sleeping, just waiting for it to get dark so they could mobilize their operation.

As the hours passed they sat in the slowly darkening room reading through the information on their holopads again and again.  Memorizing their targets face and polishing and rechecking their weapons.

Razor unloaded all of the discs in his ammo casings and checked each one to ensure its razor sharpness.

Then he loaded them into his pack and slung it across his back. 

"You ready?" Razor asked Skarr.

"Lets do this thing." He replied.

As the left the small Java diner the sun was just setting into the skyline.

Their target was a kilometer away from here and was probably well protected by armed guards. It was gonna be some tough stealth work to get close to the boss.

Razor and Skarr wandered down the street trying that lead up to the mine and saw the incredible fortifications these miners had rigged up.  Most mines are well fortified before they are used as a base because greedy mining companies think everyone is after their precious metals.

This complex was incredibly well fortified with a three guard house entrance and armed guards walking the perimeters of its high fences.

"Any ideas?" asked Skarr nonchalantly.

Razor simply said, "Lets observe."

They knelt in the muddy water ditch as they watched the guards going around and around.

"There is a twelve second window where there is no guard underneath the fourth light away from the guard house." said Skarr after awhile.

"Thats our moment.  We'll use the bolt cutters in my pack and open up a space big enough for us to get through then we can move up and kill one f the guard pairs that are patrolling the perimeter.  According to prerecorded shift data these workers are due to change up in about fifteen minutes." said Razor.

"Perfect." replied Skarr, "Lets make our move."

They waded down through the extremely muddy and disgusting trench which Razor was now almost completely convinced was not carrying just water away from the mine.

Frak, I wish we could have worn our armor on this mission He thought to himself as the reached the end of the trench bringing them right below the light.

The guards tramped past them and Razor heard them muttering about how they couldn't wait to hit the cantina when their shift was finally over.

Razor leapt out of the trench with Skarr hot on his heels.  They began cutting the links on the fence Skarr checking his watch every couple of seconds.

"Three seconds." Skarr hissed.

He and Razor dove and rolled back into the trench and breathed quietly praying that they hadn't been seen. 

When the second set of guards had passed the mask covered faces no longer visible to them, Razor and Skarr moved forward again and this time they cut a whole large enough for them to slide through.

They quickly rolled into the darkness at the edge of the light.  Suprisingly there were no claxons or alarm bells triggered as they crouched in the shadows.  The guards had not seen them. 

"Wait until the guards exit the lights radius then shoot to kill and we'll take their uniforms to get through the second and third gates." whispered Skarr.

Razor simply nodded and waited.  The guards walked right past their entrance whole and just as they were leaving the lights radius Razor opened fire.  he heard the quiet thrum of Skarr's disk launcher firing beside him.

The guards went down and they quickly stripped them of their clothes and moved back under the fence with the bodies before other guards arrived.

Razor and Skarr wandered through passage after passage.

Section three of the mining complex clearly had been around for along time because it had finished rooms, some even had wood floors and Razor was sure that at one point they had passed a cantina.

Men occasionally walked by them but they paid little attention as they assumed that no one would be able to bypass their security.

Razor checked the mission timer.  Their ship left the spaceport tomorrow at 0900 hours and if they missed it they were stranded.  They had no money or any other way to get home.

They walked until they came to a passage that split into two different directions.

Razor stopped and said quietly to Skarr, "This is taking too long, we need to split up and find him.  Divide and conquerer.  Don't get caught cause I won't be saving your sorry ass."

After a short retort Skarr walked off in one direction and Razor sharply turned and wandered off into the other direction.

He came to a halt when he heard the clinking of cutlery and the sound of laughter.

He looked into the room nearest him and found it dark.  He quickly hurried from door to door until he opened one and found a great dining hall in which many people were eating. 

He looked up and down the rows and saw that it was not only miners who sat here but it was also people who worked to finish room.  At the head of the room sat a large table.

Razor snuck in and saw their target sitting in a throne-like chair at the large table.

Razor quickly turned on his comlink and said, "The prize is in my sight."

Razor jumped up onto a table and jumped over the crowd landing with one foot in Skarr's hands. 

Skarr heaved and threw Razor over the remaining people and out into the hall, he landed and rolled into an  upright position as he saw Skarr push his was out.

"Lets get out of here." Razor yelled as he started sprinting down the dimly lit tunnel. 

As they reach the main passage where the tunnel split into its different mining sections when alarms went off and gates began closing on all the sections.  As Razor and Skarr saw the main entrance a huge metal grate fell down and stopped them.

They turned to see a large group of miners running up the hall, but what really scared Razor was the group of four Gammorean guards who stepped out of a side corridor thirty meters away from them.

Skarr grabbed Razor's disc thrower off his arm and yelled "Just get that damn gate open."

Razor grabbed three thermal detonators out of his mission equipment bag and placed them around a square area that would create a hole big enough for the two of them to escape through.


Skarr put on the disc launchers and instantly regretted choosing to be the one to stop the Gammoreans as they drew their signature vibrolances and advanced on him.

Skarr fired three discs into the closest Gammorean and caught him full in the face with two of the discs but the third flew wide cutting the leg off of one of the Gammoreans.

Skarr felt the heat of the thermal blasts as Razor blew the gate open and he turned and sprinted through the gap as he saw Razor disappear through the gap.

He turned and laughed at the Gammoreans as they struggled to get through the hole while simultaneously stopping all the humanoid pursuers who could have caught them.

They easily slipped past the guards and out into the road in front of the mine.

Finish it up Skarr

Razor heard the news saying the miner had been killed in a brawl, that meant they no longer had to worry. The authorities would not be searching for two civilians leaving for Tadath.

Razor relaxed nowing that they had completed all of their mission objectives especially the not being found out that you are a stormtrooper one.  If they had been found out it probably would have caused riots and outbreaks of civil violence.

They returned home to Tadath the next day and life returned to its status quo.  Razor and Skarr had completed a secret mission so naturally no congratulations were in order, even from the army High Command. 

But that was how they lived their lives.  Stealth and secrecy in the service of the Emperor.
