I assumed there's no skipping around with fleet number when i made the list. If i'm wrong, then i'm wrong. If not, then what's 5th and 6th going to be? cause if we just delete it now, someone else will ask the same question down the line. That was the whole reason why i tried to make a solid reference for everything.

The fifth fleet was where we decided to chuck all the PC task forces. Regardless if the new changes that may be made soon will take effect or work, I'd like to leave fifth alone for now.

And Doc, as for what you stated previously about the number of ships... that kinda throws everything i've been doing for the fleets out the window. I'll agree with the fleets 1-4, but 5 and 7 are conflicting with everything we've been doing for the past 8 months.

And in regards to the number of ships, Doc what you said goes against what the Task Force page has, which was done mostly by you. Then I built the Fleet listings that's currently on the Wiki off that, and any previous record I could find. Now, if you say that a single TF can consist of over 400 ships... that throws everything out the window as well...

So until it can be all figured out, again, Art, i'd appreciate it if you don't delete anything. Art, when you asked to return to active duty, and asked for nothing more than the Intelligence Division, and that you wouldn't mess with anything else, I agreed. Now, what's this 11 fighter wing business, I don't believe I have heard of any of this. Also, you might not have noticed, currently, Javelin Wing is not the 1st Wing anymore, it's the 58th, it's based off the current Wing Assignments. So anything changes you make to those assignments will actually affect a greater part of the entire Navy, so I'd appreciate it if you don't change anything in that regard just yet, either.

Let's see if we can catch up on IRC sometime, shall we?

First off, task force listings were an attempt to list the major ships of the task force, rather than a complete comprehensive listing.  I didn't think it was necessary to list every single damn ship

That aside, where do fleets 5 and 7 conflict with your stuff?  To be perfectly blunt, I fail to see how "a fleet entirely for PCs" is a justification for a whole new fleet.  They could easily be within any other fleet that fits their role.

The 5th fleet outlined above isn't an official fleet per se, more of where the VE tacks on various other ships when it lists an Order of Battle.  This would be planetary defence forces, and even mercenary companies that it has employed.  It's an "catch-all fleet" for things that don't go into the others to put it simply.

The Seventh fleet isn't a fleet either, but rather a much smaller group of ships that just lurks aside for special operations.  And the reason for the jump?  There's no sixth fleet, why go searching for a seventh?  And 9 times out of 10, the seventh fleet will say it's part of one of the first four fleets, and even claim to be in whatever task force it's supposed to be in.  Meaning, they attach themselves to task forces in many cases rather than act as one themselves (tho this may happen occasionally).

But hey, you guys are welcome to do whatever craziness you want, I'm just saying what I had arranged for you guys when I had the job, and letting you know all the thought processes I had going into everything.  I might complain half-jokingly if I think something is done differently that shouldn't be, but hey, it's no big deal, it's a fictional naval force after all

Gives a good glimpse of the general makeup of the task force, some variety, etc.  Keep in mind I didn't come close to finishing those listings, there would have been a quite few more ships added if I stayed on.

You have to provide numeric dates (A future revision will make them show up on the template as January, July, December, etc.).

Currently it only lists the weeks for each time span separately.  I need to figure out how to effectively have it sum them up.  The obvious way will bloat the template excessively at this time.  But hey, this isn't the first thing I had to find a work around for

If you want the thing to list a present date automatically instead of having to manually update each time, then use something along these lines:

Why is there no point in moving the squadrons to a different fleet? I think its justifiable in the fact that the squadrons can have a more "mobile" base, rather than one that just sits there. As well as moving to Bannith for a different Base of Operations.

Forgive me if I'm wrong, but I don't see any rules that say the squadrons have to be based aboard the Atrus.
