IntroductionNot much to report this week in terms of quantity, but there's one pretty important thing for ya'll.
ID LinesAt the last NCM, it was decided that ID lines required some 'fixing' up, making them somewhat easier to understand, as well as conveying new important information.
The are now in the following format:
[Position]/
[Rank] [Callsign]/
[Flight Designation]/S:
[Squadron #] "
[Squadron Name]"/W:
[Wing #] "
[Wing Name]"/
[Assigned Ship]/TF:
[Task Force]/
[Fleet #]Flt/
[Corps]/VEN/VE
[Medals] [Exam Certifications]Do note that medals and exams are on a separate line from the rest of your ID line, as to help distinguish them. You can replace this with a medal bar, if you so choose (one single image), or one of the Sigpic 3.0's (VE Main Comnet, also replaces most other sig stuff).
So, what exactly is everything?
Well, Position and Rank should be simple enough, as well as your Callsign.
Flight Designation is the trickiest part. If you're in Alpha or Beta flights, it's not bad, just A-(1,2,3,4) or B-(1,2,3,4). Just check the roster for what that is. However if you are in Gamma or Delta, you have to use a little extra work since you want to use either Γ or Δ respectively, but you cannot simply copy-paste them. Instead, use the character codes for them:
- OOC:
Γ => Γ
Δ => Δ
Your squadron number can also be found on the roster, but I'll help you out here:
Nazgul - 147
Viper - 172
The name of your squadron, simple enough, as well as being in Phoenix Wing (which is Wing # 1).
Assigned Ship, easy enough, you're on the mSSD
Atrus (be sure to have
Atrus in italics).
Task Force is Aurek, which you will show by simply 'A'
Aurek is in the first fleet, and you are assigned to the SFC (Star Fighter Corps).
Let's take Willtconq's ID line for an example:
- OOC:
- SC/1LT Willtconq/A-1/S:147 "Nazgul"/W:1 "Phoenix"/mSSD Atrus/TF:A/1Flt/SFC/VEN/VE
[VC:S][SV][BWC][SWC][LSM][CBV][NC] (=*A*=) (=*SA*=)(=^MA^=)
Logistics StaffBoth Hunter and Drac have been inducted to the Logistics Department as Logistics Coordinators. They will be assisting me with various duties ranging from wiki work to some canon stuff.
We are now looking for Logistics Technicians to assist us a bit further, if you like wiki work, or maybe even some graphics, please come on by #Naval_Logistics on IRC, or simply send me a PM here on Comnet!
