Personality: Shorn appears to be almost incapable of talking about his personal feelings, and although he is very attractive to members of the opposite sex, he seems to be awkward and surprised by their advances, to the point of not quite knowing how to deal with them. Shorn admits this fairly openly. His personal mantra of "Leave no one behind" is often left unspoken.
Tycho is a more laid-back, easy-going personality. He is capable under pressure. He is very instinctual and frequently is able to come up with ingenious solutions to complicated problems. Some put this ability down to his being a closet mathematical genius, despite little to no scientific training. But despite this, he tends to be relatively humble - being able to accept that sometimes there isn't anything he can do to help with the current problem, and leaving it up to more capable minds. He has also occasionally shown a darker side. He is in possession of a rather wry sense of humour, and frequently alleviates tension by telling jokes to keep spirits up. He enjoys 'anything that goes faster than 200 miles an hour', along with displaying a vague aptitude for Chess
Bio: Tycho Shorn was born and raised on Coruscant. His childhood was one of wealth and privilege. His family is in the shipping business and Tycho plied his hand at that for a while, but found that it was not satisfactory to his ambitions. He had always wanted to be something more, something special. While growing up he had been in numerous positions of command on his father's ships and piloted many of the ships.
Living on a New Republic planet as he did, Tycho was able to see many of the politicians and senators of the republic. They were corrupt, greedy, and unfit representatives for a people that deserved more. Shorn wanted to go into politics, but he was not old enough. The NR navy seemed a fine place to start, however he soon found that he could not live among such corruption. The tales of Imperial justness and rule of law appealed to him. He told his father that he would be leaving to join the Empire. Unfortunately, his father vehemently disapproved of what he called Tycho's fancies. Telling him that his future lay in the family business. Shorn disagreed and they fell into a heated argument that ended with Tycho leaving Coruscant the next day and going to the Imperial Naval academy.
Ever since then Tycho has had bad relations with his family, except for his sister. His eldest brother continued the family business, but the second brother joined the New Republic saying that Tycho was a traitor to democracy and to his family.
