She gripped the controls of her new Delta-class JV-7 Shuttle. Havock had just picked the shuttle out almost solely as something to do while Jaenna was away yet again on gang business. She thought about staying on Tadath, and relaxing in the condo or at the barracks. She considered going through the lately, all to familiar motions, of living for days on end worried and missing Jaenna. Then decided to stop being an idiot and go to the one place she could think of that Jae would go, Coruscant.
Jaenna never told her not to go, she didn't tell her anything. She told Joamer that she needed time away, and that was while Havock was still in a coma. She woke up to find Jaenna gone and only Joamer there waiting for her. Ever since Havock's unfortunate trip to Coruscant with Joamer, where she ran into the Black Sun, she had been avoiding the place like the plague. But that last night laying in the bed still not able to sleep after days, she had finally had enough.
The ship was in hyperspace, and didn't require as much attention, giving her the opportunity to sit back and try to relax. She had tried to comm Jaenna before she left, but couldn't reach her. That didn't worry her, she had told Havock that it was possible for her to be out of contact if she was with her gang, Star Struck. She hoped that that meant she was right and that Jaenna was on Coruscant.
A beep on the console told her that she would be exiting hyperspace in the next few minutes. She needed a name for this thing. She laughed as she began prepping the ship for the return to sublight speeds. She was in such a hurry to leave, she totally forgot to name her new transport.
The stars slowed and came into focus, along with a planet that sent shivers down her spine just looking at it. “Port control to unidentified vessel, please identify and transmit travel documentation.”
Havock quickly thought up a lame name, and hit transmit on the computer screen. Now she just had to wait for docking instruction as Coruscant got larger and larger in the viewscreen. “Documentation accepted, proceed along current route, docking bay 659, welcome
Dragon Slayer.”
The name doesn't sound that bad actually, heh. She steered the ship in and docked, grabbing her sack and checking her DE-10 blasters as she stood in the rear of the cockpit. She tied her hair back as she walked down the exit ramp and back on the planet that had given her more nightmares than she could have imagined.
Clicking on her datapad, she found the file that had Jaenna's gangs location on Coruscant and started off in that direction. What's the worst that could happen? She suddenly wished she hadn't thought that sentence.
