Prefect's Report
First of all, sorry for the missing Prefect's Report from last week to those of you that were anxious to see the Calendar (and maybe read the news on things). I've been sick for most of the week and have not felt up to doing work until later this past week and I wanted to ensure your Halloween Story was ready to go. So, this week's report will contain two week's worth.Halloween StoryYes, it is finally ready to go! Thank you to the Squads for finishing up their stories on time. An especially big thank you goes to the Department of Development for coming up with the concept for the story and converting everyone's favorite Halloween monsters into Star Wars counterparts for us. This story looks like it will enable you all to have a lot of fun, and from the various comments I have heard thus far I'll be expecting to have a good laugh or two from you all. Now, a couple things to remember: this may be a fun and festive story (so feel free to have your characters act accordingly) but it is still an official story. We still have a reputation as Imperials to hold up AND we are still on a conquest to retake the core. Remember that while you are posting: this is not just some fun random story. That being said there IS going to be a new story method that your Squad Leaders are being briefed on. When the time comes for you to know of the details, you will know. Aside from that, have fun and enjoy the story.Army Mapping and History ProjectMost of us remember this as being an old project that Fury started a long time ago and finally died out as of last year. Basically, people went through old Army Stories and created a wiki entry outlining the mission and its objectives/accomplishments. Unfortunately, this project remains unfinished. One of the things that I want to do as part of my "clean up the army" act is finish this project. I have a couple extra steps I want to take while doing this as well. Now, I have a couple volunteers already and they are doing an excellent job but we obviously need more. Anyone willing to help contact me at your earliest convenience and I will explain what needs to be done.Calendar of EventsAs you can see below this is a Calendar Created in Google Documents to help plan for the coming year. For the most part the competitions have been set there that are DEFINITELY going to happen. The ORDER may change of some competitions due to circumstances beyond our control or we may have to cancel a competition flat out if we cannot delay it briefly. We organized this for one reason: planning purposes. This will help the Squad Leaders to know what kind of a story to plan and if they need to make it end at a rather early time. As an added bonus, this gives EVERYONE a chance to be able to look forward to things. Just a note to everyone on the upcoming ESC: You will notice it takes place in July. If a challenge is approved before then we will move it up and reschedule the year accordingly. If no challenge occurs, it will take place on its scheduled date. Also, if there are any VE-wide or IRC events: they will make their way onto this calendar as well.That's it for this week! Have fun in the story and I'll see you all next week!
