Chapter II wrote:"Target Acquired." Crewman Voss chimed as his fighters scanner located a wayward enemy X-wing, smoke billowing from the upper right engine, it seemed to have already received some punishment from another source. "Roger that, Valkyrie, permission to engage granted." An unfaced voice, probably a Comms officer, replied over his ship-to-ship communication system, which was exactly what he wanted to hear.
Giovanni jammed the controls forward which pushed the TIE Interceptors engines into a scream as they accelerated to attack speed, Valkyrie projected that this would most likely be a short battle.

He banked right and up to come into visual contact with the wounded bird and let a light smile pass his lips as he read the distance to target meter, 700 meters, 650 meters, 600meters, the smile grew as he closed in upon the helpless target. At 500 meters, there was a flash of light as the X-wing suddenly burst to life, the trail of smoke no longer coming from the seemingly wounded engine. "Damn." Giovanni followed the fighter with his eyes, bringing his own ship to match speed as the distance closed to around 300 meters which would be an ideal range for him. His finger danced across a few more controls and the technical readout chimed the "A-OK" for weapons armed as the targeting computer found a lock. He pressed down hard with his thumbs and saw four satisfying green bolts blast towards the X-wing, who easily dodged by jerking down suddenly, breaking target lock. Giovanni once again followed the target, who was beginning to prove slightly more of a challenge then originally projected, which he found substantially aggravating.

"Lets see how you like this." He murmured to himself, as though he were talking to the wayward fighter, just as his computer chimed weapons lock once again, he pressed down hard once again on the firing control and let loose a barrage of green blaster bolts, but only a few found any substantial purchase which glanced across the X-wings shields. A warning bell activated in his own cockpit which signified that his ship had been scanned, just as he fired a missile at his target.

Suddenly, the X-Wing was gone, the missile soared through the formers position right before it spun out of control and detonated harmlessly in space. The X-wing had been a forward scout serving an unknown purpose. Giovanni clenched his teeth in defeat as he turned his TIE back towards his mothership.

Activity: Posted my "Reporting for Duty" thread and have received training in the Naval Academy. Thus far, I have completed chapters I and II.

Upcoming plans: Completion of Flight School and getting assigned to a squadron are my top priorities.
