Appearance:
Beo Icava is a standard of the human form. Neither outstanding or bland, he is almost a perfect example of human mundanity. Standing just under six feet at 5'10, Beo's height and weight, 185 pounds, gives him an imposing figure. Most would describe him as "lanky" or "scraggly". He has very little fat on his body due to the fact that he is used to going with very little food for great lengths of time. Though with the low fat content, he isn't overly muscled from the near lack of protein in his youth.
Also, Beo isn't a very attractive creature. His face is gaunt and rather hollow with sunken eyes. The nose on his face is slightly hooked and shows signs of being broken of several occasions. His bright blue eyes shine with a strange intelligence and wisdom that does not fit his young age. The most striking aspect of his face, though, is his smile. Usually considered cocky or smug, Beo has almost perfected the roguish smile known to street rats and other social undesirables who must rely on charm to get them out of tough spots. When he smiles, his thin face becomes warm and inviting showing wrinkles that he has developed from years of being jovial when his situation was anything but.
When he was young, Beo used to let his hair grow to his shoulders before he would consider cutting it. Now that he is a part of the Imperial Navy, he keeps dutifully to standards and keeps his light brown hair close to his scalp with the top allowed to be slightly longer than the sides. But, he does allow himself some youthful aspects to his hair cut. Instead of having his sideburns cut even with the top base of his ear, he has shaved so that they hang to the bottom of his ear lobe.
Undoubtedly though, the first thing anyone would notice about his appearance would be the tattoo that he wears proudly on his face. Above his left eyebrow is a red triangle which points up towards his hair line and below his left eye is a mirrored triangle which points to his mouth. This tattoo, which almost appears to have a clown-like aspect, is a sign of his criminal past as a youth on Ord Sabaok. He also has the number seven tattooed on his right arm.
When Beo is not on duty and is relaxing in a cantina or some other social establishment he enjoys wearing none complicated clothing. Most typically he will wear high traction boots, pants with utility pockets, and a sleeve-less, low cut shirt. Also, he is almost always seen wearing a heavy jacket usually worn by Speeder Bikers gangs. Its a padded jacket that is cut short, not even hitting his hips. Though it is a faded red, dark splotches speak of a time when patches covered his prized jacket.
Personality:
Beo is a light in the darkness. There is an old saying, "There is a silver lining to every cloud." This is Beo's personal motto. There is very little that can bring him down and even when things are hard and do not have a bright out look, Beo always seems to find something to make him happy. This is often seen as a sort of cockiness but he merely shrugs it off and keeps on going with his life. He honestly doesn't care what others think about him.
One of his most redeeming qualities is his determination. Nothing can stand between him and his goals. He will keep on fighting until he is either successfully or dies trying. Also, he is quiet intelligent. These two qualities are what ultimately got him into the Imperial Navy. That and an impressive criminal record.
Over all, though, the most important aspect of his personality that the Empire likes about Beo is his loyalty. Beo has a long history of absolutely loyalty and obedience to what group or organization he belongs to. Some call it close-mindedness but he believes it to be a display of his personal force of will and dedication. If he chooses to do something then he will perform that task full-heartedly with complete enthusiasm. When it comes to the Empire, Beo believes it to be a saving grace and if he is to make a career out of the Navy then there is nothing that can waiver his belief in the Empire.
History:
- Childhood
Beo Icava is an orphan. He has never known his parents or biological family. He was raised by the Government on Ord Sabaok until the age of seven when he ran away and began to live on the streets. Immediately, Beo started to get involved his street gangs which offered him that feeling of belonging that he had long searched for. Street gangs and crime go hand and hand and Beo started to grow a criminal record that would, in the future, lead to his joining the Imperial Navy.
Since his joined a Speeder Bike gang at a young age, he was deemed unfit to ride or get involved in fights so he stay at the gangs hang out where he learned how to fix bikes and other important pieces of technology. This would become a life long obsession for Beo. It turns out that he has a knack for fixing or improving things. With this in hand, Beo became an essential part of his gang.
-Young Adulthood
After several run-ins with authorities, the local government had had enough of Beo's criminal activities. At the age of twenty, he was given a choice to either enter military service or spend the next fifteen years of his life in prison. Without second thought Beo decided to join the military. After taking several personality and intelligence tests, his recruiters decided to put him in the Imperial navy instead of being a Stormtrooper. His knowledge and ability with technology would be a great asset to the Empire.
