I am Senior Chief Petty Officer Hunter-Morrell, Trainer for the Vast Empire Navy, and I will be helping you today.

You have just completed Imperial Initiation by posting your welcome message here, the Vast Empire Navy congratulates for that. Now, the next step in your training is to start Flight School and post your character biography. This biography will (and should) be a rough outline of your characters history.

In your biography, you will need to list the following (just copy and paste):

= Character’s Background =

Qayla really doesn’t have much of a history to tell anyone. She only knows sketchy information about her real parents and what her family was supposed to be like. Having been raised in an orphanage and been on her own for the last 2 years, her life has been quite eventful to say the least.

She is presently on a quest for the knowledge concerning her true background and family history, and has been finding it to be quite an eventful one, as well as rewarding. At this point in time she has few, if any, friends. To get the credits one would need to finance her lifestyle, Qayla has taken many odd jobs.

Those jobs have been, but are not limited to: Working as a translator, carpenter, bricklayer, and her last job: public relations assistant.

In her last job, she was quite gainfully employed, and made a substantial paycheck for what she did. However, as this didn't help her get the information about her family, she looked for a better way to not only make a few credits, but gain the information she so desperately sought. She found it when she met a pilot who offered her passage in return for her help. She accepted the offer, and after many months on his ship, she found her way to the Vast Empire, where she presently trains in the Navy.

She sought her family, and though she did not find her real family, yet, she has found "A" family. She has also found shelter, food, clothing, and the training she sought to make her life one worth living.

=Personality=

Qayla started out as a very shy person, but has grown in wisdom and strength to be a very confident and very strong-willed person. This is not to say that she is not mild-mannered and polite, just that she knows what she wants, and is capable of completing any task to get it.

Assignment 2:

Pick two maneuvers from the Defensive and Offensive page, and give a basic description of them by telling the following:
1.What are they?
2. How can you use them?
3. Why would you use them?

Item 1: barrel roll

A maneuver used to slow down if you're going to overtake an enemy, or also one that can be used to force your attacker to pass you, giving you a target to at which to shoot. It us performed by a slight roll of the aircraft and then a percentage of pitch.

Item 2: Immelman

Used to reverse altitude as well as change direction, put the nose of the craft up, climb upward, then execute a half a loop. By inverting and doing a roll afterward, to end the maneuver, it gives you a new flight path, however you must now turn the craft right-side up, which is done by doing another half-roll. Most useful for craft that have low thrust capabilities.

Activity: This week was a bit hectic as RL crept into some of my time. However, where possible I posted to the Navy boards, was on IRC or Java chat.

Upcoming plans: Next week I will be working on further fleshing out my own individual character bio. I need to also get a wiki page set up for myself, as well as work on a writing competition which which will be submitted for approvals.
