Terra Lorn inhaled deeply, the depth of darkness within the cantina swirling into flared nostrils. Her emerald eyes shed apathetic tears, the salt burning against her throat.

Wasn't it?

Several of the clear jars were overturned, an entire array spanning a sabbacc table tucked into a gloomy corner of The Laigrek's Eye. A solemn Universe card lay open to whoever offered it a home, or even a pocket for the night.

Terra groped the rounded and Lannik-eared corners, brushing it's smooth underside with her fingertips.

She left it on the table with everything else. Kassoti. Ryll. Even Glitterstim.

Funny. Laigrek aren't indigenous to Naboo...

Terra knew Rori was a nexus for spice harvesters and smugglers - but this stuff was...different. The high was too bright, oversharpening her vision and constricting oxygen. The chirping of glass was knife edged even amongst the usual overbearing clamor, and nobody so much as flinched as the group of youths took a new lease on life, the narcotics saturating their impressionable minds with delusions of grandeur.

It all belonged to her.

Can you see me now, father? Look what your sacrifice has brought you! You trade your family for sweat, for money. I trade that money for this. They will trade it for blood...or worse.

Terra laughed without purpose, humoring the blank gesticulations of the seedy bar's colorful denizens. A Lannik's brow lifted into impossible symmetry, and she flashed him a devious grin. It meant nothing, Terra's teeth sharpening the longer she met his gaze. Her mind stumbled into everybody else's, and she could feel the ale numbing their nerves, steadying their limbs to stifled matter as Naboo spun so swiftly around them. Spinning into the uncaring maw of oblivion.

She wrapped her consciousness around theirs, spiralling into nothingness...

Only to awaken, and not remember where she had been.
