From this date forward, the requirements to take the Minor Exams will also include a minimum amount of time of service to the Vast Empire Navy. That amount of time will be 8 months from your join date. If you leave for any amount of time before that 8 months is reached and return, that will not factor in. When you return, you will finish the 8 months from there.
For the Fleet Officer Candidacy Exams, these will not be taken whenever any non-commissioned officer feels they are ready. The Navy High Council will convene and decide who we feel is ready to become an Officer. That's how it was done when I was a non-com, and that's how it's going to be done again. We currently have 4 Ensigns, 1 Senior Chief Petty Officer, and no one in ranks between Master Chief Petty Officer and Chief Warrant Officer. Those statistics are ridiculous. So those of you non-commissioned officers that wish to become officers, sorry but you've got to make yourself be seen by the High Council, or remain a non-commissioned officer. There will be no "official" amount of time set forth to make you a candidate, but it will be at least a few months after your last promotion as a non-com before you're looked at. Kam "Denethor" Vox

The SAE's promotion matrix is hereby set to one promotion, no double whatsoever. Even if you get an 100.- OOC:

EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELYFrom this date forward, the Aviator's Exam, as well as the rest of the exams (excluding the Master Aviator's Exam) will be an option for new recruits to take. It will be taken after two (2) weeks of active duty in a squadron. A one (1) rank promotion will be given following the successful completion of the test. 2nd Lt. Stormz Naval Training Officer
