I've heard a few times now that some of you think that I log channels that I am not in and PM's that are not my own. This is not the case. I run Unreal 3.2.7 IRCd and Anope 1.7.21 services. These are the only processes that are running on the server. Do your homework if you're so paranoid (hiding something? :P) Neither of these allow me to log like that. I haven't done anything to modify the IRCd or services aside from initial setup. Questions are welcomed if you are not satisfied. To be honest I always thought you could look at any pm or channel. Who knew? I have to say thanks for clearing that up, though I wasn't to worried about it. |

Good Lord, this is sad.
Here's a thought, anyone with the correct knowledge of technology can hack into almost any bit of information on the internet, so even someone as low as a leading crewman/lance corporal could look at what you're saying if they were knowledged enough. Who cares if anyone can see what you're saying. Maybe if you're saying something that you're afraid of ANYONE reading on IRC, you should a) not be saying it, or b)saying it somewhere else, like AIM or MSN messenger.

Honestly AIM and MSN traffic are easier to monitor than IRC is. They're transmitted in plain text (though I haven't actually looked at IRC packets, I think they are as well). High Admiral Japheth Cappadocious, Krath Templar
