You can choose one on the Profile page or you can go to the ComNet Avatars thread if you want a personalized one.

up in the navigation bar click profile> then go down to where it says 'avatar'> the click on the button that says browse> then upload your picture> then give your avatar a name so that you can upload it

there are also some VE preloaded avatars that you can use

if you get the message "selected avatar was too big" or something like that, change the image to jpg, always works for me
