Hello Rink! My name is Stix, and I just happen to be one of the Operators here at the Vast Empire Naval Academy. My job is to guide you through our Basic Training program, which we call Flight School. I, along with the rest of the VENA Direct and High Staff, are charged with preparing you for regular duty. With that said, let’s get started.

Now, you've already done the first phase of your training: you posted here, on the VENA ComNet. Easy stuff, huh? Now it's time to move on to the next phase of basic training, Flight School.

Flight School is broken down into several steps called chapters. After you complete Flight School, you will take the Aviator's Exam and join a squadron. Along the way you'll create a Wiki page, an Identification Line, file a Report, study tactical maneuvers, and most importantly you will define who your character is.

Now, the first step is Chapter One. This is where you will create your character and create a wiki page for said character. A particularly helpful guide to wiki page creation can be found here. When you finish with your bio and your wiki page simply post here with the actual bio and the link to the wiki page. A staff member will come along and critique your work, and (if you are deserving) pass you on to the next chapter.

Of course, you may have questions that the Wiki can't answer. Thats why the VENA Staff is here. Simply post your questions on this thread, private message (PM) us over the ComNet, email us, or find us on our IRC server (irc.fossiltechnology.com). To access IRC you can use our free chat applet (jIRC) or you can download a client (such as mIRC). The #VENA channel is here specifically to help you get in touch with our Staff, and our main channel, #Vast_Empire, is always full of experienced members who will be more than willing to help you out.

I realize this is a lot of information to process. If you feel overwhelmed, the Staff is always here to help. Just let us know if you have any questions, and we will do our best to answer them.

== Background History ==
Rink was Antos' long lost young brother. He was seperated from his parents at the age of five. He was captured by Zabrak slavers and was sent into slavery in a labor outpost in the outskirts of Kachiro. Rink escaped from the labor outpost and lived out the rest of his days alone. He found books full of information about ships and flying them. Rink found a intrest into ships, he decided to go to the nearest Naval Academy to enroll into. While he was looking for the Naval Academy he realized that he had a long lost brother somewhere in the galaxy.

Rink found a identification terminal and he typed in his last name. He found that he had a long lost older brother. He realized that Antos was in the Imperial Army, Rink decided to enroll into the Naval Academy. He looked for a Naval Academy to enroll in, finally he found a Academy in Couroscant. He approached the Naval Officer and asked him for a application. Rink filled in his application and started his new career in the naval academy.

Assignment

The Sandwich

The Sandwich is the basic way of trapping enemies with your wingman. Basically it can be used for both ofense and defense. If your wingman is being attacked in the rear veiw by a enemy, you can easily trap the enemy. This is a very good manuver when you are with a pair and need to destroy a enemy fighter.

Barrel Low Attack

The Barrel Low Attack is a great ofensive menuver when your against one pilot and there is you only. You basically let the enemy go infront of you and then you roll to a angle where you can attack your opponent. You should use this when your fighting one enemy fighter by yourself. You should also use this when you know your going to overshoot a turning target.
